Hiya, it was an inexpensive 3 piece one off Amazon IIRC was only about £30-£40 I think? Was actually quite good in terms of what it is? Not sure about any aero benefit but bought it for aesthetics TBH?
Not quite the same one but very similar

Thanks for responding! It’ll be delivered Monday
Nice, look similar to mine
Nice thread ,good idea and yours, a super car photo-thank you. Peter
This only posted because we loved the appearance of the car and its “Miata” reg.
If posting a photo of someone else’s car like this is considered inappropriate, I’d be grateful if the mods would remove. Thanks
Usually for satelite radio as the country is so vast.
Thanks for that- I had no idea.
Thinking about it, we spent a lot of time at about 6000 feet (getting on for 1900 metres).
If you are at 1900m in, say Austria, you are likely to be at the top of a mountain…….
The vastness of the Arizona/Utah landscape is definitely hard to get one’s head around.
Both wearing Tilley hats I reckon. A lot more sensible than the usual baseball cap on a long sunny road trip.
Many options on size; measure the head exactly so they fit properly and don’t blow off.
Ours also came with straps just in case!
I found one on a coastal path years ago. We left it until the next day to allow the owner to retrieve before ‘lifting it’.
By chance it was a perfect fit but it did have the chin strap for windy days. Hats are very personal items and, to be honest, it just wasn’t ‘me’. I gave it to a fellow fisher of the fly eventually.
I’ve never actually bought a hat. I’ve a baseball hat I found on a Greek island and a PomPom hat sans pompom that I lifted after a week of it sitting on a post on our regular and popular local walk.
The only other candidate is a family heirloom. It’s my father’s, a peak cap with just a touch of Peaky Blinders about it. About fifty years old now. It’s too small now as I let my hair grow during Covid as I considered the hairdresser as dangerous as going to the dentist.
It’s probably ideal for the MX so I may have my first haircut in four years and become a member now it finding a permanent place in my affections ….
It’s a picture of an NC so meets the qualifying criteria, the photographer owns the copyright to the image and the subject doesn’t infringe any other rules, so no problem
Thanks Ian-that’s good to hear.

Since my hair started disappearing when I was around 20, and now I am, as they say, “Baldy Locks” I tend to wear a Stetson flat cap which are my favorit brand.
When I don’t do wear one, it starts to smell like baked bacon…
I also own some Tilley hats, and they are great, but haven’t tried wearing one in the MX5. Will give it a try, and to be sure bring some Duct tape.
