That’s where I’ve got mine from (2 for me, one for my wife), never paid more than £250 either.
At that price, I think they’re a fun and affordable accessory, rather than the ones that cost thousands and just say “look at me, I’m loaded”…
I had K12JST (BMW K1200RS + my initials) and kept it when I sold the bike - it’s been on every car since. Was after one with my name on and finally got MX53JEM last month - well chuffed!
Its odd how a number plate can influence ones buying urge.
When buying the NC we had a choice between two Nisekos, similar mileage and condition, one local-ish (London prices), one a hundred and ten miles away (Somerset prices). I bought the more distant one because of the number plate SN08 RFX (Snob and two of my initials followed by the unknown X) and a more co-operative dealer.
The reg was a (random?) age-related replacement for the original personal plate. The previous owner changed the reg after the NC stopped being his company car. It had always lived in Wiltshire, never in Scotland.
Buying the Mazda3 the first two letters are again my first two initials and then the last three letters have two of my wife’s initials, plus the unknown X. But the main reason we bought it was because the driver’s seat fitted her without getting in the way of her elbows - the first car in a fortnight of looking across five manufacturers for a similar size and spec.
Mine’s currently on PJ02 LEO - a “family” relevant plate I was given by my wife on my 50th birthday and I have the cars original plate on retention, which is:
GB04 MXS
Did try selling it, but no takers, so can keep it for another 5 years before I can buy GB mk4 MX5
That’s my excuse to my wife and I’m sticking to it…lol
My personalised plate has been supplied as X M06 MOG (for MOG MOG) - driven now for 6 months since buying a 2011 MX5 (without attention from Police).
Does anyone think this will require different plates for MOT (maybe XM06 MOG) ?
