My Brand new ND RF Homura

Having previously owned a NB and then a NC i decided it was time for a brand new ND. I opted for the RF option and chose the Top of the range Homura in Machine Grey with the BBS wheels, Bilstein shocks, Bembo brakes, Limited slip Dif and the Ricaro seats.
I am of course pleased to say it is beautiful in every possible way

Congratulations.

She looks super :star_struck:

thank you

Nice car, welcome to the Forum!

Lovely car!

That looks so fresh. Congratulations.

Snap! (identical colour & spec.)
Got ours in early April, absolutely love it. It took us to Northern Spain including the Pyrenees in June, very impressed with it.

That sound superb.

Can’t recommend it highly enough! Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao or Santander, fantastic roads and scenery, excellent food and welcoming people. Can’t wait to return in 2025.

I live in portsmouth so it’s very easy to jump on a ferry. Have driven quite a lot in europe. I used to live and work in Holland and often jump on the ferry and drive there. Takes me just 7 hours door to door.
Can’t wait to do in my new car

Thank you, It does look lovely and fresh. I had it ceramic coated as well to protect it.

This was my previous NC that i had thousands of worry free mileage from.
I couldn’t believe how little i was offered in part ex on the new Homura, it was ridiculous so i gave it to my eldest daughter instead who is now an MX5 convert and is loving every moment behind the wheel.

Brittany Ferries have got some good deals on at the moment, return to France with car, 3 nights B&B in hotel from £146. Brittany & Normandy from Portsmouth & Poole

Dealers are not interested in older MX5’s, they just send them to auction anyway. If a good example, much better to sell private. Our previous NC Miyako which was 14 years old with 40,000 miles was snapped up very quickly.

Where do you reckon are the best places to advertise?

Bearing in mind this is a good time of year to buy but not to sell as prices for convertibles tend to drop in Autumn & increase in Spring. That said if you wait until next year, your car might be one year older depending on when it was first registered so that might affect the price as well.
Obviously you could advertise on this forum first. You could also try Gumtree which is free. Auto trader has lots of potential buyers viewing, we have sold 3 cars over the years including our previous NC. It will probably cost around £70 to place an ad, just be realistic on the price.

Have you got some clearance from the front of the soft top, to the back of the 'roll hoops, when the top is down? Still pot luck if this occurs or not. And still disgusting to be even writing that for a car nigh on a decade into production.

Edit: Sorry, I’ve been a dumbo and just realised you’ve got an RF lol

many congratulations, looks awesome.

What made you choose a RF rather than a ST?

I like the option of the hard top. My previous NC was a folding hard top as well. Portsmouth is mostly terraced victorian housing and there’s very little off street parking so i like the added security as well

Congratulations, looks fabulous! Definitely the best colour for ND!
