Got my ND back in June,
Didn’t spot it at the time, but now I can’t stop thinking I have a rather annoying panel gap/misalignment above the passenger side headlight.
Has anybody else had this and fixed it?
Are you seeing what I’m seeing on the photos?
Got my car back, what work did it have done?
I meant back in time. I bought it in June. Didn’t spot this at time of purchase.
Hmm, the wing-to-headlight gap looks OK. But bonnet is a couple of mm too low on that edge
Maybe the bonnet’s landing rubber is screwed too far in by half a turn or so.

Maybe whoever fitted the LED indicators has knocked the wing/ headlight a bit
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried loosening, all the up to the extreme end, and unfortunately not seem to have changed it.
Funnily enough, it was me who did this a week ago. Although I didn’t think that job was that involved. Turning the wheels, removing the arch liner and replacing the bulbs. Nothing to my mind within that to cause this.
Can you see where that rubber contacts the bonnet on the underneath?
Does it actually touch there? Expect a mark - rub, clean, wear, something.
The cross-member looks OK, same on each side, the wing to headlight gap looks the same as well.
Only the bonnet is odd. And the long rubber seal-strip looks more squashed on that side from it being too low.
If the bonnet is not touching the adjustment rubber maybe the bonnet’s inner frame is crushed slightly, maybe someone sat on it or tried a shocker bounce test.
The shut lines along both wings look close and parallel so it should be OK if lifted that little bit on that corner…
Any pictures from the side at all? Perhaps the bonnet has been shut by pressing on it instead of letting it drop, it doesn’t look damaged though, strange one.
Is it just me or does the passenger wing look particularly close to the bonnet?
What is the panel gap like down each side of the bonnet and also from the wings to the door?
Might be that the wing itself needs a little shuffle
did you buy it from a main dealer if so take it back I don’t want to worry you but it could be accident damage not repaired properly panel gaps and bonnets don’t move on there own and I doubt very much it would have come from the factory like that
So I can actually see that there is heavy marking on the drivers side bonnet pad (bottom contact) and virtually none on the passenger.
Driver
Passenger
The contact pads on the bonnet itself look like this.
Driver
Passenger
And funnily enough, yeah the weather seal is degraded over on the passenger side, and is fine on the drivers.
Please see other new replies for more info.
Do these photos help?
Side by side it’s Drivers then Passenger
Unfortunately this was a private purchase so there is no recourse here. Really hoping there’s nothing untoward here, and could be a simple fix. Struggling to NOT notice it now
Are ALL the hologram stickers present on the front panels?
I’m sorry, I’ve tried a quick search on here to find the answer for myself, but it’s not immediately obvious. What should I be looking for / how many / where should they be?
if it was me I would take it to a reputable body shop let them have a look at it they will be able to tell you if it’s been repaired just by looking at it. they no what to look for
Each individual original panel should have one of these, which self destruct on removal.
Sinking feeling. Not immediately spotting them. Where exactly did they tend to place them?
