We will be meeting at Appleby Magna McDonald’s, DE12 7AP and leaving at 10.00am. If anyone wishing to have breakfast prior to leaving, please make sure you’re there in plenty of time.
We will then make our way to Bridgnorth Garden Centre where there is a cafe, toilets and shopping.
From here we continue up over the Long Mynd, over the Stiperstones and aiming to get to Shrewsbury Golf Club for approximately 3:30pm. Anyone not having the buffet feel free to stop for drinks.
We are close to main roads/M54 for your journey home.
I have done a route to Barton Marina, if anyone wants to continue with that then feel free to join us.
Looking forward to a good drive with beautiful scenery, fun roads and hopefully sunshine.

Tracey and Rich have finalised the Golf Club booking. The buffet will include a mixture of cobs/sandwiches with chips, including savouries, and puddings.
Please let Tracey know if you have any dietary requirements.

Hi Everyone,
Tracey and Rich would like to invite you to join them on their drive around Shropshire on Sunday 1st June 2025.
They only have rough details at the moment for their drive, but are looking at numbers for who would like to join them, in order to arrange a booking for food.
The plan is to depart from McDonald’s at Appleby Magna at 9:30am, to make their way to Shrewsbury Golf Club for a buffet at 3:30pm.
They plan to have a comfort stop halfway. Then proceed up over the Long Mynd, around past the Stiperstones and arrive at Shrewsbury Golf Club.
The Golf Club are able to provide a buffet, which will include savory and sweet food at a cost of approximately £15 per person.
For those that want to make their own way home from the Golf Club, it is easy access to the A5 and M6, although they are planning a route which will be off main roads and motorways, making their way back to Barton Marina, for a quick stop off for a drink at the of the journey. Everyone is welcome to join them if they wish.
If you would like to join them for refreshments at the Golf Club. Please add your names to the thread as they require numbers to confirm the booking.
A deposit per person will be required, but this will be collected once the booking is confirmed nearer the time, either by bank transfer or cash.
