New member,

Hi new member here, I’ve just brought my first MX-5 which is a twilight blue(12k) MX-5 NB 1999(S).

It was standing for 3 years so there’s plenty to be getting on with but she still doesn’t miss a beat after all this time as a non runner.

My local area by postcode seems to be north West Midlands but the nearest meet is actually Cheshire and north wales. I’m north staffs.

Will be good to go to a few meets ups and see your cars

Welcome to the club, nice colour and a good looking car. I smiled at seeing the Bofi racing sock in the top left of the engine bay. :socks:

It’s safe to say my bank account and bofi are well acquainted already

Welcome! Lovely car in a very nice subtle colour. I had a 2000 NB in black a few years ago. Had a lot of fun with it. They are great little sports cars.

I’ve got a much newer Mercedes and the Mazda is by far the more fun to drive. ATM tho it’s a little more on the scary side than enjoyment, I need new tyres and handling upgrades :joy:

Welcome aboard.

That’s a great choice of mark and colour.

I’m confident you’ll have plenty of smiles per mile.

Hopefully you’ll share your adventures with us.

Cheers,

Guy

Congrats on your purchase and membership Ads_MX-5_nb [that is a very low mileage 12k  ]

Have you had your Welcome Pack and STHT Mag yet because when I renewed my membership in August I got a sticker for the windscreen that denoted the area and from memory [Bullit is garaged away from the property] I’m North West Mids

The location of the meets can vary [usual meeting places are also in the STHT Mag]

Lovely to see another NB back on the road again………nice one !

You might already know but CS Haynes in Silverdale are active in the club and recently held a tech day. They’ve done work for me.

Yes they were mentioned to me yesterday when I met Cheshire & north wales for breakfast. That’s really handy as I’m the next village to silverdale. Thankyou for the advice, I’m sure I’ll be there quite abit

Greetings again Ads

I’ve been a member since 2018 but never been to a meet [owned Bullit since 2007 and she fell into the ‘renovate and restore’ category so is now a work in progress ……..kinda want her to look a bit better before meeting other members]

Haven’t even meet portvalenil even though we’ve exchanged posts on the Forum but like him CS Haynes in Silverdale who are Club Members have done work on Bullit……..welding, new cills and undersealing for example

Next step for Bullit is a trip to the bodyshop recommended by CS Haynes for them to deal with her ‘life scars’, any further corrosion and hopefully a respray………which is

Dale Hall in Maries Way, Silverdale

Bullit and I are in Clayton

Your Welcome Pack shouldn’t be too long…….the SoftTopHardTop Mag is produced every two months and the next issue will include the 2026 paper wall calendar which I’d be lost without

Kindest
