Rare cars exotic or otherwise

Just came across a 2nd gen Fiat Croma, the estate/mpv.

Doesn’t get much more rare or exotic than this bad boy…

Its an mx!

Its an mx!

One of my own; a M2-1002 Roadster. Only 100 made, ever, and I had one in my garage for a year, until I sold it.

Why’d you sell it, Saz?

Infiniti FX50, Mercedes R129 and R107 SL, 90’s Alfa Spider.

just been trawling the interweb & found this;

never heard of it before but for 1970 it’s a cracker.

I own a couple of “one-off” vehicles.

My Liege is the only supercharged, one litre example, out of only sixty cars ever made. Probably rarer than a Bugatti Veyron and attracted as much attention when both were at Prescott a few years ago.

I also own “the” one and only Silver Jubilee, FB AJS Stormer Enduro bike (my retirement restoration project).

You don’t see many of these around now day’s       323F type BG

Renault Laguna coupe. A rather handsome beast.

A black Mazda MX5 VS import with factory body kit.

Oh no, thats mine

About ten years ago I heard a nice exhaust sound outside my house. Looked out the window and spotted a Lamborghini Espada. Only one I’ve ever seen outwith magazines. It was a metallic purple colour and looked stunning.
Unfortunately by the time I got outside for a decent look it had driven away.

I was stewarding at the Scottish Open at Gleneagles about 20 years ago and there was a road version of the RS200 Group B rally car on display.
This was one of the 200 originally built for homologation before Group B was banned and the remaining cars fitted out with carpets and a bit more luxury for the road.
As this was before the general crowds were allowed in I found it unlocked so climbed in for a look around. Superb figure hugging seats but pretty cramped inside from what I can remember.

Also came across a Citroen Maserati SM coupe for sale in a garage long before I was age to drive. The car was open so I climbed in for a quick nosey before being asked to leave by the garage owner.

Very nice!

My Dad had a 1988 Mazda 323 BF made in Zimbabwe.  A few months before he died in 1996 it hit a pothole which ripped the bolts holding the rear of the left front wishbone out through the floor.  I put some big penny washers under the bolt heads on both sides of the floor to sell it afterwards, it made a small fortune in Zimbucks even though I pointed out the bodge.

Ah yes, the RS200. Made by Reliant. At least the body panels were!

Lamborghini Espada.  One for the lottery win, although I  have one in 1:18 scale.

At Uni, the farmer’s son two doors along in the hall of residence mentioned that his Mum would be picking him up at the end of the term in the ‘old Shooting Brake’. Being ignorant and from the Colonies I had to ask what that was, and someone else said it was an estate car.  To which he replied “No, it’s a shooting brake, not an estate car.”

Come the day and this mud-encrusted grey giant of an estate car arrives, a two year old Mulliner Park Ward Rolls Royce, custom built with slots for umbrellas, gun cases, hampers, etc, as well as fridges (plural), boot racks, coat racks, fold down tail gate with seats to sit on, etc.  To him it was just another car, the correct tool for the job.

Fiat Coupe and Mazda Xedos 6.
