RX8 wiper stalk replacement for a NCs wiper stalk

    I am thinking of replacing my wiper stalk with a RX8 one.
    There are a few about new from China that are relatively cheap.
    Has anyone every used one supplied by a Chinese provider?
    If yes are they ok?

I bought one from China some years ago. No problems with it. The only thing it does that is a bit irritating is the click it makes when activating the sweep movement. It’s noticeable, at least to me.
But it was cheaper than an old one from a breaker. If I recall correctly the stalk from another Mazda also fits (Mazda 6??), which obviously has less of a following than the RX.

TL;DR - Chinese stalk works perfects well and is a very cost effective solution.

I bought a cheap RX8 replacement wiper from ebay. It works very well, but has the same annoying click as Fory45 mentions on activation of each sweep. My wife in the passenger seat doesn’t hear the click.
The colour is slightly off as well, it is a deep “new” black as opposed to a 10 year old, slightly faded black.
It is still worth it for the variable control.

I was going to ask a similar question after seeing the article in this month’s STHT.
The article mentioned a part number for the replacement stalk as GJ6A-66-128 but all those listed currently on eBay (all from china :frowning: ) have a part number of J13K359A.
Does anyone know if they are the same part?
£25 seems worth taking a punt on…

My mate bought one a couple of years ago now. Works perfectly to date, no complaints.

In 2015 I bought a genuine ex-RX8 (2003) one from the Bay for £19.49 all in.
No clicks.

I d9nt recall any clicks from my chinese version.

Make sure that it’s from a Mazda6 saloon and not a hatch or estate with a rear wash wipe.
