Small job that needs doing, take these apart and regrease, hopefully help with wiper speed.
Drivers window is now working again so that’s a win

Quite a simple little job once you have your eye in, one of the spring washers has seen better days.
Really crusty, clean these up the wipers should be good as new
Further restoration on the wiper area, going to paint the arms and cover, got all new clips for the cowl cover and new rubber seal.
New OEM clips for the cowl, the old foam was completely deteriorated.
New oem crank pulley with a a 36/2 tooth crank trigger wheel for increased crank angle accuracy and better starts.
And rebuilt the cowl area, with freshly painted cowl and wiper mechanism, new rubber on the cowl and new clips.
Wipers where better but could still be improved, so time to rebuild the wiper motor, fairly simple job.
Also my indicators weren’t self cancelling, however the part that’s for sale is the wrong one! I suspect Mazda changed the design at some point. Unfortunately i don’t think you can get these new. I’ll have to sort second hand or get something 3D printed perhaps.
Oil change, spanner check and out at brands for the evening, good fun few hours to dust off the cobwebs.

“Micro Machines come in collections of 5”
Nice. That’s an upgrade my ND2 could do with.
Anyone tried doing it?
I always disconnect mine, can’t leave anything in the boot with the top down.
Current NA has an OEM push button inside the cubby, it used to be an automatic. Never seen one before.
Now operated off my alarm fob.
If you turn the key in the boot lock 90 degrees in the ‘wrong’ direction it disables the remote lever release.
Thanks for the tip!!
I never knew that!
Not on an NA.
Doh! I didn’t know that, sorry.
