Nice pic in trying conditions.
I’m watching on YouTube and it appears to have been miserable for much of the day. Most of the grandstands look empty.
What are the crowds like?
Are there many folks meandering around in the rain?

I did catch the interview with Iain and Dave. If I didn’t already own one I’d want to now.
Nicely knowledgeable, positive and enthusiastic comments guys. Good job :+1:

I was impressed by how many members arrived so early on Saturday despite the dire weather forecast.
My 25AE initially tagged on the end of a line at about 07:50, but now is in the centre of this pic taken at about 08:52, and the midday pic above by MattX5 shows a whole lot more spreading left of the recycling bins.

Alas, there was too much rain and quite reasonably the lunch interval for parade laps was removed to allow the race card to be pushed back a bit and run later than scheduled as soon as the weather eased.

The races were interesting, but maybe the wet track caused the Safety Car to figure a bit too prominently! Again I was impressed today, this time by how quickly the Marshalls cleared the unfortunate hazards and allowed the races to resume.

By 1700 we had bright sunshine from blue skies!

This allowed JCB’s great sense of humour to positively glow in the sunshine.

Many thanks to all the MX5 Owner’s Club volunteers who braved the conditions to make this gathering of so many cars possible!

It was dreich.

but eventually cleared up late in the afternoon to become glorious evening. Typical.
Huge crowds managed to emerge with the sun for the end of the day and into the concert.

Glad it came out ok!

Brightened up on the Sunday! the Club scooped the Best Club Display of the Festival!
At 2 feet tall, might need a new cabinet to put it in!

Huge thanks to all the members who came along to the show and be part of the display, in some very challenging conditions too! and especially to all the volunteers from Northampton and beyond who all helped to get you all in wind, rain and shine!
