It doesn’t apply to me. Because I’ve got a rag top But I must say “What a clever suggestion” from yourself …
i.e ‘Turn the power source off at the moment the roof is where you want it to be ‘opened’ or ‘closed !

There’s no need to turn the ignition off. Just press either the Up or Down button briefly while the roof is opening/closing and the roof will stop at that point.

Thanks for that info Philip. I did wonder if that was the case.
Anyway, I placed the order today so this week I should be able to sort it👍.

I fitted the Smart Top this morning on my Sports Black. It took around 20 minutes from start to finish. Plus about 10 minutes to download the App and set it up pre install. It works a treat and I set it to operate up to 20 kph. Did I really need it? Of course not, but how did I ever go on before holding the open/close buttons for the eternal 12 seconds…:laughing::+1:
The purchase was made for £266 at design911performanceparts on eBay which were £70 cheaper than MX5 Parts and 24 hour delivery.
I will put some installation pictures up on this thread if anyone is interested :+1:

Be mindful that although you’ve set it to 20 kph that is just the initiation threshold, it will then carry on regardless of your speed.
