SOLENT AREA - A Drive to The Chocolate Frog, Nr Bordon, Hants on Sunday 2nd October 2022

Hi Everyone,

Here is another event for you all, courtesy of “Wheelers Fine MX5 Drives” :+1:

Patricia & John have kindly arranged a Solent Area drive to visit The Chocolate Frog Tea Rooms and Shopping Barns, Oakhanger Lane, Oakhanger,Nr Bordon, Hants, GU35 9JA

Due to the interest already received, since this event was posted in the Solent Area Programme, Patricia and John, already have members who have put their names forward to attend this event and bearing in mind they have only provisionally booked for 16 people and here are some more details for you to decide if they also wish to attend.

PLEASE NOTE: there is a requirement to pay £5 per person, in advance, to reserve your booking,
which will be taken off your food bill on the actual day :+1:

The Autumn menu will be made available during September, when you can pre-order your choices.

family or friend’

This event is being run on a first come, first served basis, with a reserve list due to our initial booking of 16 people, please book your places ASAP as already mentioned.

So onto the drive details, as follows;

Meet Point: Morrison Supermarket, Lakesmere Rd, Waterlooville PO8 9FB for 10.00 and park near the Hand Car Wash

Departure Time: No later than 10.30am, for an approx 1hr drive. Tulip Route Directions will be
given to all on the day.

The Drive will take us through the Countryside and further into Hampshire and the A3 and back to the
Coutryside again. Once we arrive at The Chocolate Frog, we have reserved parking on site and
Mandy (Cafe Manager), has reserved the ‘The Celebration Hall’ for our 16 members, with tables arranged for 6 persons.

The Tea Rooms has a very good choice of every day food, and there will also be limited quantities of special hot food on the day. Orders will be taken at each table in-turn by the staff.

UPDATE…15th August 2022
Patricia and I had a meeting with ‘Mandy’ tearoom manager at the Chocolate Frog today and paid £75 to secure 15 places for the 2nd October 2022, see receipt.
Because Sundays are a busy time places are booked well in advance, there may be possibility Patricia and I could book extra places but would need to have deposit of £5pp no later than 2nd September 2002.

Just heard from Greg & Margaret, they have booked their spaces and paid deposit, there are now 17spaces booked.
Should anyone still wish to join us all, you have until the 2nd September, the reservations close on that date.

Last minute rush today, now heard from Terry & Diane, and David & Pat who will also be joining us at The Chocolate Frog…
That means there are now 21 people…

Please note, the PayPal email address in Post#1 has been updated, as John had advised me that I had an old email address in there :roll_eyes:

All should be good now and payments for The Chocolate Frog can now be made to John direct via thsi method.

Almost the last chance to reserved your space at the Chocolate Frog, we need to give final numbers on Friday 2nd September, after this date we cannot guarantee any more spaces.
