Unfortunately I don’t get to the UK till May (for my looooong summer holiday) and I only know of 5 other 5s in Lanzarote so havent managed to get an OC branch going here. Mind you, if we went for a run, 27 miles in any given direction would see us getting our feet wet!
Rest assured, once I am there I shall meet up with you lot at every possible opportunity, as long as you promise to be as mad as Grampian.
I’m sure you’ll have a great time but that’s never going to happen…
I’m not a Member (yet, may well be by March!) but from what I’ve read, can I just turn up at the rally on Sunday and pay to park?

Non members are very welcome at a charge of £5 entry to the rally, if you decide to join the MX-5 Owners Club on the day then the £5 will be refunded, so come on all you non-members come along to the rally and hopefully we can persuade you to join us.
All MX-5/ Miata/Eunos owners are welcome

Just come along any time from 9, and you will be made welcome. Once you have paid to enter you will have the opportunity to recover your £5 by joining the OC on the day.

Look forward to it, might just be the excuse I need to join. I assume the meet is child (8 year old) friendly, never been to a meet before and just wanted to check there wont be any pole dancing / topless mud fighting going on, although if there is, my son is staying at home

Well…I did suggest it. Its child friendly, but you do need to be aware that cars will be moving around. He will love the Hop Farm Experience then, farm animals and all that, although that is not included in the £5 entry charge.
We are a friendly bunch so come along and say hello. Our Ladies who will be on the entrance will point you in the right direction.

The Rally starts at 10 am not 9am, all children and adults welcome, we will have lots of activities for all ages so come along all you non members £5 entrance fee per car for a fantastic day.
Members will have the hanger in the next STHT this will allow free entry. Please do not worry if you join after the STHT is delivered, just bring your membership card with you on the day and we will issue you a hanger for your car.

Just to inform you, I have booked a hotel for the Saturday night, as I got my tent out last weekend and found some holes in it from a little friend but I will be there early on the Saturday as I want to do driving route C. I will not join in for dinner as that is included in my hotel pacage. So all the best to you and the team and will see you in the early hours of the Saturday.

Does this mean don’t get there before 10am and so there may be a huge queue building up as everyone arrives together?
Not knowing the area, how long do you expect it to take for the cars to park up and is there sufficient space on the roads so as not to cause a traffic hold up or have a couple of hundred MX5s going round and round the traffic island?
