Back by popular demand after last year's big turnout from a mixture of local areas. Joint run with West London Area
We'll meet in Chartwell National Trust Car Park (Mapleton Road, Westerham, Kent, TN16 1PS) from 11am for a 11.30am departure.
At the car park there are toilets and a restaurant ( which I believe opens at 11am) where you can get a hot drink before we set off.
This will be a 90 mile round trip country drive with a pub lunch along the way. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WILL BE COMING ALONG SO THAT I CAN BOOK THE PUB FOR LUNCH.
The Pub is the Green Man on Lewes Road, Ringmer, BN8 5NA. It is a carvery lunch costing £7.25 for carvery only, drinks can be brought at the bar as required, due to numbers over 60 plus members, approx 35 cars, if you can have this amount handy to collect it will make life easier for the staff at the pub.Service may be slower due to numbers so please chill and relax and enjoy the day.
Detailed route instructions will be provided and if anyone has a walkie-talkie please bring them with you this will help with the convoy.
Look forward to the same as last year hopefully, nice weather, friendly folk, and a really enjoyable day out.

Valentines Run – 15th February 2009
Chartwell
Please note there is a large walking group meeting in the car park at 10am on this day so we can expect the car park to already be filling up when we arrive, so take care.
The car park at Chartwell, they mentioned there are parking ticket machines in place, but please note that charges apply fromMARCH to NOVEMBER, so we do not need to pay the £2 fee.We will not be returning to Chartwell as normal, on our return part of our drive, because they close the gate at 4pm, so it makes sense to finish at The Grasshopper Inn on the A25 instead, see the directions on your instruction sheet the ones handed out on the day.The Green Man PubThe pub car park will not fit all of us, so the manager Danny has suggested the nearby school car park as a starting point.Due to numbers please sort out the table you are sitting at first when you arrive, and then send one person from your table up to buy the drinks from the bar, as this will save a huge crowd forming at the bar!, In terms of paying for food, Danny is happy for us to pay by table or individually at the bar, - again, I am just trying to avoid chaos with huge queues at the bar. Thanks Sarah (Mazda Chick) – South EastBob (SparkeleyBob) – West LondonEric (ET) – North Thames
WEATHER CONDITIONS - At the moment the plan is for this event to take place, however the three area coodinators will be monitoring the weather conditions mid week to see if it is safe for us to continue with the event on health and safety issues, please watch the forum and area website for updates, at the moment it is still planned for the 15th February.

Will all the ladies be getting roses again like last year…if so, what about us romantic guys??? Maybe some beer…or bling for the car, or knee-pads for those expecting to propose…[:$]
Yes we will be there IF we are not either moving Andy’s Mum into the Care Home or clearing her flat having moved her - Unfortunately we are still waiting for Social Services to confirm they are allocating the funding and can’t move her until then - as soon as hear it will be all systems go - unfortunately they are now talking about early/mid Feb rather than late Jan, which they originally said [:@]… Ahh…
Anyway who would want to have anything to do with their mother-in-law on Valentines weekend? Not me that’s for sure - particularly with the hassle we have had from her over the last year - so we had better be on the run or I could be a very grumpy person!
So - In other words pencil us in, but we might not be able to say for sure until the Friday![:$]
