What annoys you about your MX-5?

Not much annoys me about my NC but here’s a few:

No glove box illumination

Headlights cloud over

Absolutely nothing except that I continually have to choose between my missus or my Labrador as companions on any outing. Be nice to take them both ?(& no - I’m not buying a boot rack & a pair of flying goggles for one of them)..

Dunno which MX-5 you have…….NA, NB, NC, ND

But if Labrador goes to ‘permanent holiday on a farm’ before MX-5 goes to ‘rust heaven’

consider replacing with a Cocker Spaniel

Trained my last Cocker to lie in the space “In the Back !” [where the soft top usually sits when the roof is down on an NB] when the soft top was up……kinda like a Churchill noddy dog

And when the soft top is down on an NB then Cockers are small enough for passenger well or ‘secured’ on passenger lap

In that way you can transport a passenger and a dog together and only need one pair of flying goggles for said Cocker to stick head out of passenger window :joy:

My ND has sort of got me back for little attention over the past 3 months. Had a drive out earlier in the week, oh the calf muscles hurt, I’ve been used to an auto for too long. Also gearbox oil change, ouch! something went and pulled around my hip joint, 2 days of limping about:laughing:

Regular exercise Mick, it’s the only way!

I know, need it, lacking in the countryside walking too. Managed a 6 mile walk last week, took me 2 days to recover though:laughing: More of it me thinks, get back into the groove.

MX-5 parts sell a genuine Mazda upgrade for the seatbelt guide and it works

Or a Chihuahua in the glove box!

Nah

Chihuahua would be more content in Mrs HappyHotDog handbag :handbag:

Didn’t notice it for a fortnight but now I’ve seen it and it’s bugging me. Between the dash and pillar but it’s a big sticker and will need partial stripping to get at it all. I don’t want to just scrape that painted trim and don’t want to leave a half peeled sticker which would be even worse.

I had the same… used a cocktail stick to get it out. Successfully.

Old bank cards make good scrapers for delicate hard surfaces. I always keep expired ones in the garage. Good for surface filler also.

Totally agree.

If someone brought out a mod, I’d buy it

The first stop is too narrow to get out of and the next one will allow the foor to hit the neighboring car in any normal parking space.

Rubbish design.

Thank you both. Easy enough using a cocktail stick and a credit card as a knife and fork as it were.

Cubby now has two old cards, two cocktail sticks and a pile of serviettes and paper towels for wiping the doorstep that always seems to be black with dirt and road grease.

Mine got something like that in it.

Didn’t see it at first but once spotted I couldn’t leave it there. Next little job is trying to stop the passenger door lock button rattling over potholes and bumps.
Elastic band or rubber shim I’m thinking.

Are you sure that is not an anti squeak / rattle pad

It wasn’t touching the plastic though. Maybe masking tape for when they install the dash.

Could it be a rattling passenger?
