Took my ND1 to the dealers for the replacement of RH+LH rear hub supports. Cost to me £443 after including Mazda 70% “Goodwill” contribution

Think you need to find yourself a new Mazda dealer.

I paid £177.32 for one side with 70% Mazda contribution.

Are you daan sarf? That could explain the rip off prices. Us oop north wouldn’t stand for that.

Fitted aftermarket front calliper after it stuck on last run. I’ve swapped discs and pads so was reasonably confident and the job went really smooth. Peddle feels good up and down the drive. Will wait for the current brine to dry on the roads before test driving.

Painted the new one before fitting so realised a much better finish:

This is what came off:

Was going to have a go at refurbing the original but having second thoughts now

Today I fitted a new, modified oil cooler kit to my Eunos, a third of the original part price and no more corroded pipes!!, sorry, meant to say power steering cooler kit

I put the new battery in my NA after the other one went flat. Started straight away, which was a relief.

How come the battery terminals on both batteries are smaller than the round lead that needs to go on it?

I had to “fix” it to stop it from being loose and am not happy with the result - any simple ideas to get a better fix?

Your battery should have come with terminal sleeves.

The ones i have posted are Chinese but there are others from the UK if you search further.

My battery didn’t come with any but I have just ordered a couple from e-bay (a seller in London).

Thanks

Went for a drive yesterday, parked next to a lovely Jaguar.

Started polishing the car today, working on the boot. Arm is aching…

Cleaned the Pipercross air filter with their cleaning products, and gave the MAF sensor a blast with MAF sensor cleaner , all pretty boring, but will and wash wax the old fella tomora if its not freezing cold  :grinning:

Fitted the replacement battery that arrived yesterday just as it started getting too dark to go outside to fit

As my ND2 lives outside and has some condensation inside - Just dropped the roof for a couple of hours… Exciting stuff…!! And as it started to get dark a nice drive around the block where I live - Some B-Road and dual carriageway…!

Bought a Le Mans decal to go on the rear bumper.

Refitted the battery clamp after my neighbour modified it to suit the deeper battery that I replaced the previous one with

Swapped my steering wheel today with a local NA owner, no more half leather half wood, a simpler design more aligned to the original

Fitted new side lights/indicators. These came with the car otherwise I would have opted for a light smoke set.

Still after some affordable alloy wheel centre caps if anyone knows anywhere ?
