Phone meet Car.
After some time of ownership, I decided its time to peal half the car interior apart as you do and bite the bullet of updating the head unit USB module to one that support phone integration (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto).
It was a good opportunity to update the infotainment system to 74.xxxsomething.
Huge thanks for @BlueAgave for direction to the firmware and instruction, it works flawlessly just taken closer to an hour in my case, having plugged the battery to a charger no issues developed during the process as you can see in the photos.
AIO hack applied to control the touch screen while on the move.
USB thing got replaced, tearing and reassembling the car for it.
And…as most of the cabin was apart, I had fitted a dashcam and its wiring is all neat (Nextbase 222x)
So far so good, had a quick ride around town and very pleased using the car screen with the phone.
