Spring has sprung, so the barbecue is out and the hard top goes in its space in the garage.
Looks awesome
Today I have mostly looked at photos on my phone of my Eunos, and cried because she’s taking so long to be restored.
I predict I will be doing this for a few more months!
Empathy
Hi everyone,
New on here, having just got my 2019 MX-5 RF 2.0L. Gave it a good wash and wax this weekend. A few convenience mods that I’ve done so far:
- MX-5Things roof and power modules - wow they are awesome
No problems fitting and work perfectly. Controlling the roof from the remote is just ace!
- Reversing camera - relatively easy to fit and well worth it. Apart from losing the bolt from the screen unit down to the transmission tunnel and had to strip more parts out to find it
- Stubby aerial
- Just fitted a new “Real” steering wheel from Rev9. A much nicer feel than the oem and quite discreet. Much easier to do than I thought it would be, but the air bag was a bit fiddly to get out. Well pleased with the result.
What next? ……
Cheers, Richard.
Nice work. What’s next? The world’s your oyster
like the door latch covers, where did they come from?
Great looking car
Ali express would you beleive… hee lol
Managed to get my Watanabe Type B’s out the box and fitted yesterday, finally. Just need to get my zoom engineering side indicators fitted, absolutely hate the clear ones, gingercators for days!
Next stop planning my itb build
Fixed the rattling hardtop (clamp adjustment) and about to take her for a MOT
Gone from this on my NC1 to a complete waxoyl with lots of removing loose rust.
It’s all pretty much saved the rear subframe and worth doing
I didn’t like the stock badges that BBR supply so I fitted some chrome letters that I purchased from Amazon to the boot of my ND. They were all individual letters, so it was quite a process to ensure that they were evenly spaced and all lined up. It was difficult to judge how to align them as all the reference edges of the boot are curved and the rear face of the boot lid tapers towards the ends. Anyway, I aligned them as to what to me looked ok. Looking at the picture the ‘0’ looks a smidge out, but the trouble was there are no straight lines to help with alignment on a ‘0’, and once the letter touched the boot surface there was no removing for adjustment as it stuck like the proverbial to a blanket!
The OCD in me couldn’t live with that……
Looks worse in the photo than in the flesh. I don’t think I dare to try and take it off again!
First mod completed car was picked up Wednesday so didn’t take me long…
Dodgem aerial removed and replaced with something more suitable
Got more do this weekend, mudflaps and roll over bar covers to replace (all painted soul red)
I’m with you on that!!!
Crickey! I thought I was OCD. You have left me no alternative but to try remove and reposition it. However, if it all goes horribly wrong I shall blame you two!
