I doubt very, very much an Insurance company would be chuffed about them in the event of some unfortunate incident like slicing some run-away bairn’s shins in Tescos car park.
Then again, they would not if they looked at my new non OEM chassis gear.
Choices…choices…pick your risk.
Not just insurance but I think that you could be pulled up by the police for attachments like those. I also think that a lot of people don’t know that it is illegal to have wheels/tyres that protrude from their wheel arches when in the straight ahead position.
Can you let me know where you got the stickers please? Much appreciated of you can.
Mike.

Today over booked the car into BBR for a their GT 185 package
A quick clean over today ready for a planned 150 mile trip around north Cornwall tomorrow
Correct, you can get a brush down there but nothing thicker. The top of the tubes is a little like yours but without a grille covering them, and there’s a panel above preventing access, with only a couple of small holes for a trombone brush.
I doubt a little bit of sticky back plastic is going to make much difference if you get hit by any car. I drive around in a Peugeot 806 derived van, it has a windscreen the size of a football pitch, exposed wipers, a roof rack more often than not loaded with ladders. That must make it the motoring equivalent as roaming the streets with a loaded machine gun!!
Cheers, Daveya.
I was never completely satisfied with my trimming of the Alcantara around the dashboard air vents, so I fitted these carbon fibre covers.
Services the windows, so the Wold Miata unit is back to one touch. Passenger side is a bit slower than drivers on account of a previous owner 15+ years ago fitting a non-cable aftermarket regulator.
Finished fitting new Lucas headlamps. H4 connectors were corroded, so wired in some new ceramic ones
Fitted a metal washer bottle. It only comes in black but I wanted a bare metal finish so just sanded it off.
A lot of hard work done there…nice. I asked DaveFab if they could supply said bottle without the black paint or powerdercoat. No was the answer, so I never bought one.
That looks great as Davy F says, a lot of hard work! Well done.
Barrie
I asked DaveFab the exact same and they said it isn’t something they do. I thought that was strange as I was just asking them to supply one before they applied the powder coat finish.
I too asked them to supply before they coat them. Methinks that maybe they actually don’t make them and bring them in…

What a beautiful bit of kit. Seems a shame to put it under a car
You will enjoy the sound, I think the engine breathes easier as well.
