Hey Malc , no it’s not , that was one of the options we looked at when we built this… 34 years ago … oh ■■■■ I feel old . I don’t like selling cars … still runs very well btw.

They are advertised as legal. No mention of show plates. Will have to see how they stand up to the weather.

Day outside making a start on cleaning the underside, not sure if the bushes need replacement it has just passed the mot.
Didn’t do too much on the springs and shock absorbers thinking about a change in the next few months

Took heaven knows how many fasteners out to remove the skid tray only to find 1: it doesn’t come out and, unlike other cars, and 2: it doesn’t cover stuff like the oil filter.
If it came out you could get to those limp horns. Not a great first attempt on my new car

Just getting the new bits Ready to be fitted this weekend …

these have now been drilled so they can be lock wired behind the wheel so I dont loose them …
 :joy:

Mid Range replacment Rotors should do the job
From MazdaRotaryParts

Also Going to do a deep clean the Car’s Chassis Ready for its Mot soon …

Replaced the coolant today and did an oil & filter change while the engine was hot. I don’t know a more awkward vehicle in recent years than the NC is to change the oil filter on. Checked the underside after I was all done….all tickitty boo.

Got Daisy back from the painters JD Automotive, Bassingbourn Nr Royston, Herts today; got her home after a blast (top down) on the A505 / A10 to get our cobwebs out. He fitted new Eunos front and rear badges (originals from Japan) and one front wing. Could have patched it, but preferred to replace. New windscreen as the old one came out in more than one piece . Paint job looks superb.

Got home, refitted sidelights, new IL Motorsport Roadster kick plates, new wheel centres. Got a few bits to do. JD Automotive had previously restored a very tatty and damaged hard top to a very high standard.

Did you remove clean up, rub down and repaint the chassis braces?
Or are they new ones?
Looks great underneath :facepunch:

IL Motorsport X brace and powder coated front brace. I had ordered the ILM front one from MX5 Parts but I waited months with no sign of it, so just refurbed the oe one.

Did they need shot blasting or just a good clean and rub down?

Had my braces out today. Shot-blasting would be nice but good enough with a quick once over with powered wire brush. Going to treat with rust converter then some Hammerite paint that is designed to go straight over rust. They are easy to get at so a good test bed before getting at the more inaccessible stuff I’m thinking?

The double skin in the middle brace is tricky. Thought of cleaning as best I can then try to seal it off with expanding foam. Any thoughts?

What are those roll bars please?
