What have you done to your MX-5 today? (Part 2)

Alcantara love it, where did you get that from please?

Removed the stupid ISE that turns out just increased drone and general engine bay noise in the car. Quieter cabin now with the roof up, and the exhaust has more bark when you get on it with the roof down.

Out of interest, which version MX-5 do you have?

'59 Plate, NC2 or mk3.5, whichever nomenclature you’re most familiar with

Interesting. Didn’t think they’d fitted the ISE to NC2s that early.

My old 59-plate NC2 2.0 didn’t have one.

Mine is a PRHT Sport-Tech if that makes any difference.

My RF hardly ever goes out in the rain but last night I needed its garage so out it went. At least I could admire the water beading up :slightly_smiling_face:

Cat’s have good taste which is why they choose to sunbathe on MX-5s.

Just take it as a compliment and join the Facebook group “Cats Laying on Miatas”.

Over the course of the weekend…

Collected:

Drove & Enjoyed:

Tweaked & Adjusted:

Aerial:

Wind blocker and roof wedges from @Roadie :checkered_flag:
Both highly recommended. A noticeable reduction in buffeting compared with the drive home and looks better in my opinion as well. I noticed the roof was touching the hoops whilst down, and showing some light signs of deformation along the leading edge. But thankfully nothing serious.

Also after a few hundred miles of driving with the standard ND shifter, I popped my trusty Jass Performance one on. I didn’t want to presume it would be better, but it feels better to me. The result for my driving position is a useful extra bit of height from the Jass shifter. The shift feels better, despite less weight which surprised me. 240g vs. 300g for OEM in case you’re interested

Then finished off the weekend by fitting uprated door bushings which gave a nicer door close and a shelf to the cubby hole. And a touch of firmware updating, thanks to @BlueAgave for the file.

Cheers,
Steve
