What have you done to your MX-5 today? (Part 2)

Early start to collect my car finally had the wheels powder coated…chuffed as they say in Yorkshire
Gave the car and wheels a wash and wax

Do you still own this ?

As I never use foglights, I deliberately put bright white leds in the foglights in order to use them as driving lights for extra road presence. Works a treat.

Likewise, I even chatted to a local Road’s policing officer, and whilst technically you should only use the fog lights in seriously reduced weather ( ie less than 100meters)
he conceded that the rules are ancient and that as far as they we’re concerned they appeared like DRLs and as you said it makes these smaller car’s more visible. Obviously a common sense approach with the use, I won’t be driving around in hours of dusk or darkness as I’d switch on the headlight’s but during normal daylight I don’t see a problem

No I took it to the Netherlands in 2015 as a group run of of car to display in the European rotary event held every two years we came away with quite a few trophys I won the Best RX8 that year the and Lost interest in the car shortly after that due to loss of eye sight sold it in 2017/18 the cars was broken up for parts some time later the car had won 40 trophys European championship was good enough for me but never going down that route again lol

just some of the bling the car won …!

How sad that it should end up broken for parts. :sad_but_relieved_face:

Chapeau

Got myself some OEM mats and a stubby :joy:

While my MX-5 is being repaired for a sill corrosion failure in my recent NCT, I’ve had spare subframes, suspension arms and associated bracing sandblasted and powdercoated. I’ve also acquired a full polyurethane bush kit, new coilovers, Whiteline anti-roll bars for front & rear, and new original Mazda complete bolt sets for the front and rear suspension. Can’t wait to have the car back and to install the new hardware.

Long time lurker, first time posting. Today I fitted the LRB door cards after wrapping them in some vinyl leather and changing the speakers. The aluminium door panels didn’t have speaker holes so being went for a coaxial speaker to avoid having to drill two holes for the speakers.

Decided to replace the PCV valve on my NC. Not a fun job at all. Did it in my work parking lot which was also not fun haha. All back together now and driving great!

First time visit to the guys at Performance Link today and as everyone else seems to be saying it was well worth the trip! I was really impressed and can highly recommend them. The lads really did a great job with proper attention to detail and they treated my car as if it were their own. Full geometry set up, braided brake and clutch lines fitted, plus a brake fluid change and a coolant change. Top job!
