I’ve got a pair of these on my ND. They do fit and the hybrid blades work very well. Quiet too. Under a tenner for a pair delivered, can’t go wrong at that.
Thanks. I ended up ordering from mxparts and getting the Denso blades. A short trip to Southport to return the Bosch to GSF, ill be damned if I’m paying postage to return them.
Dinitrol rust protection completed on the ND. Well, i didn’t do it - South West Rust Proofing did. Looks pretty neat and they were great in providing lots of pics of the process as they went and generally keeping me informed. Not cheap but as far as I can tell they provide a good service for those looking for a professional job and not able/willing to do it yourself like me!

But suspect it’s akin to ‘How long is a piece of string’
viz it will depend on a number of variables e.g.
Model of MX-5
Whether you include a hard top
State of the corrosion
Where you live [e.g. suspect more expensive in London]
Whether you want to take it back to ‘bare metal’
Metallic paint ??
etc
I’m the wrong person to ask as I have no experience
But I know a number of posters on here have done a respray
Perhaps you could start a new thread so experienced posters can reply
Unable to advise at the current time

I’ve just got back from GSF to drop off the Bosch Wipers, I stopped to look at the bonnet as I’ve been working on it to clear the stone chips and light scratches with the different liquids.
Moxie might be covered in smudges and other bits as I’m not going to wash and wax him until I’ve had the front scuffs repaired. fixed typo
I’d say I’m happy with the extra shine from the polishing!
Ice Blast Pro, Witney. OX28 6HT.
We booked a provisional inspection to start with so that we could see ourselves what was going on underneath our 2016 model MX-5 Icon. From the very first contact we were well looked after and all our questions answered. We were given solid advice as to what was still good and what areas required further investigation to achieve our aim of trying to preserve our beloved MX-5 for the future.
A mutually agreed date was arrived at and the car duly delivered to Witney for the suggested work to be carried out. A pre-treatment video and detailed photographs followed the next day explaining the good areas and showing the ones requiring remedial work to stop the spread of further corrosion.
The MX-5 was collected at the end of the week from Witney. It had been cleaned and inspection was invited to check the underneath before departure. There was no hurry involved and a quick, detailed resumé of what had been done during the week reassured me there was no need to check the work.
Three more videos with a commentary arrived along with more photographs of the underside showing the extent of all the work carried out. At no point was I made to feel as if I was in the way or they were trying to hurry me up to get on with the next job. From start to finish was a thoroughly pleasant experience and we now have an MX-5 which we believe will serve us for many more years to come.
Top marks to Ice Blast Pro and a deserved 5 star rating in our opinion.
The recommended treatment for the underside after the small amounts of identified corrosion had been neutralised was Bilt Hamber UC and Bilt Hamber Dynax 5-50.
A few pictures of before blasting and after treatment with the Bilt Hamber.
Looks like very tidy work.
Fitted the Denso hybrid wipers to Moxie, ran the wipers for few minutes to bed them in.
And for me, an MX-5 owners polo shirt, i do have the other one as well ![]()
Took her to Vince’s Motorworks to have coilovers fitted, wheels aligned and car lowered.
■■■! What a difference ![]()
BEFORE LOWERING:
AFTER LOWERING
She corners on rails now and feels so planted on the road.
Any suggestions where I should put the rather flash Tein stickers?
Hi Mark. Can I ask who you used for the scuff repair? I’ve managed to cut a deep scratch in the bumper on mine and it would be good to get a rough cost to repair. Cheers
I went through https://axioma.co.uk/, £38 deposit. I sent several photos, detailing the work.
On your tool box, definitely NOT on the car.

Winter wheels with brand new Goodyear Eagles.
Interestingly these weighed 500g a corner light er than OEM with RainSport 3s.
Performance to be reviewed…
That engine bay just seems to look better and better every time i see it! ![]()
Well thank you Sir……
shame I would have liked to have displayed it at the National Rally but more mods to do over the winter so more to see next year I hope……!
Fitted a cabin filter, didn’t really want to take the trim and lower panels off, and introduce more/some rattles, so went with the wiper cowl cover filter instead.
I know some say its a convertible and doesn’t need them, but most convertible have them in the modern era and while driving with the roof up A: leaves and debris sitting in the hole after aslittle as (2k miles on the car) and B: driving for days in the rain I noticed the dust still getting inside on everything even with the roof up.
The JASS filter fits with minimal hassle, just a couple of clips and 1 screw to remove, so should be good for a year or 2.
