Yeah, although to be fair I didn’t see much rust in those unprotected areas when I was shopping for mine.
Not a mod, but parked it on the lawn, as skip 2 will be on the drive soon!!
Arrived even as I write!!
Need to be able to get out in my fav vehicle

Updated the Gracenote album art database to the latest version. For me the download took a while (892MB) but the actual car update was just a few mins.
I downloaded it from here where a new version was made available a couple of days ago: Mazda Connect - Gracenote
Left it in the garage in South Derbyshire this morning. A difficult decision as we were planning a trip to North Yorkshire for a few days in it. Sitting in the hotel now watching the snow accumulate and the road to Whitby a bit chaotic with the snow. Hope the Skoda copes ok in the snow😆
Enjoy the snow. Amber warning.
Bullit and I lived in Whitby 2007-2010 ![]()
We used to say that Whitby had their own unique weather system [e.g. drove back home to Whitby from Peterborough after Xmas with friends in Bullit……..all the roads clear…….except the A169 from Pickering to Whitby !]
A169 to Whitby great road for the MX-5……..but you’ve been wise to bring the Skoda instead ![]()
Eml light came on in that terrible wet weather we had a week ago.
OBD2 says P0661 fault- low manifold runner voltage. Symptoms of which would explain quite a lot from experiencing recent mild “something’s not quite right here feelings”.
Got a new unit from Amazon £15. 10 minute jobbie to fix. All happy.
Changed the diff oil, new crush washers and a gold-plug to boot.
Length of hose through the wheel arch with a funnel Slow pouring in this cold weather, should have warmed the fresh oil up on the central heating radiator first. Happy that job is out of the way.
Another added cat on MX-5 ![]()

After fitting coilovers on my NC the ‘garage vary’ style front splitter was perilously close to the tarmac.
Spent an hour in the man cave this morning with a heat gun and spring clips heating and re-profiling the front lip.
Gained just over an inch of ground clearance.
Me too. Garage envy that is

Product link because it illustrates why you might want to do this, other sources are available.
Crush washes. Soft metal, aluminiim or copper that squashes a bit to make a good seal.
Gold plug is a make of premium sump nuts with super strong magnets to catch any metal crud in the oil.
I fitted a Vent Phone Holder to Moxie after getting frustrated by the poor GPS signal with the phone being lower down on another mount. I’m happy with it as the gps signal is much stronger and there is no lag in the maps (finally).
I also fitted a few weeks ago a GPS speedo display I got from Temu. I do want to look for another one that is a bit slimmer, maybe a heads up display.
I have the same GPS speedo in my ND. Works well, very accurate and cheap as chips. So much easier to see your speed while still keeping your eyes on the road.
