What have you done to your MX-5 today? (Part 2)

Found the disconnected plug which led to a warning light and sorted that. No more warning lights and one step closer to going in for its MOT.

Stiff brush and vacuum applied to the roof, clearing out some general grime around the underside edge of the rain rail.

Ordered a reconditioned rear caliper and some lines. Waiting on the other side getting back from the reconditioning company and then I’ll swap both and it’ll be time to drop it off at the garage, with a quick prayer to the small gods* of jinba itai for as few problems reported in the test as possible.

Thanks Barrie

Is it a standard Mazda paint? I went for the brilliant black for my roof etc (A3f) but yours really pops!!!

Barrie

As far as I’m aware it is the standard metallic black yes, the close-up was taken with a good quality sigma macro lens so that probably helps

Today I left Nugget at home, just to get to know my partner’s new to us SLC. And of course we immediately saw another Copper Red NC in Barrow, then a stunning ND Launch Edition parked next to Enzo (the SLC) in Greenodd.
We had a friendly chat with its owner about the BBR upgrade that his car has, and he even started and revved it for our pleasure.
He says he will be selling it soon too (tempting, but too soon for me).
Clearly, today’s lesson is that I should never leave my car at home.

That looks phenomenal - who and where and how much?! xD

Thanks, A1 Mobile Valeting, Plymouth. Prep (I had quite a few tar spots that needed dealing with), full machine polish and 3yr ceramic coating was £400, although he did knock a reasonable amount off the price as we’re regular customers

That sounds a great price? Mobile valet  not sure he’d come to Leeds :joy:

Sure I have waved to you a couple of times in my Eternal Blue ND. There is a lovely Soul Red RF (reg OIL 9983) just around the corner from me. Not sure if they are MX5OC members though.

The new 4 pots in all their glory
