Had my Guardian Deaigns Corsa wheel fitted. It’s interesting how different it feels with a slightly smaller but fatter rim. Much more slingable. I went for their single piece wrap to try and emulate the feel of the Momo Corsa I had on my NA.
Looks good too.
Very nice. Can you still fully see all the dials?
Nice, how did you mount the plate in the new position?
Thanks
Just drilled through the plate and bumper (just above the black part) and secured with some stainless steel bolts, job done ![]()
Yes, not obscured at all. Might have been if I was shorter and didn’t have the wheel as high I guess, but it isn’t that much smaller. I had a 330mm wheel once on an NA and had to learn the speed by the angle of the needle!
ive seen a few versions of these now. all look great i just cant part with the money. ![]()
i think i need to find someone with one at a car meet to sway me
adding some more air intake shielding (Funk Motosport ‘blanket’ material).
air intake temps are massivley lower now due to the new intake system drawing proper cold air, and less airbox material to be subjected to heat soak.
but i had this laying around so using it anyway. just temp fitted it to see how it gets on. ![]()
these guys make some good (apparently) turbo blankets with this sort of material its not just a 0.2mm reflective tapem its a proper ‘oven mit’ sort of material to stop conduction as well as radiation. lets see..
Hit a pheasant on one of our country roads and made a mess of the under tray…… No sign of the pheasant afterwards
It bent underneath and ground away the front fixing points before I could stop.
That’s tomorrow mornings job sorted!!
How fat was the pheasant?! Jesus
A bit on the large size.
One of those that runs out, stands there and looks at you deciding which way you’re going to dodge him.
Or not…….
Bonnet might have gone off if ND
Which is why I’m still on NC!!!![]()
Well done , that’s a great effort and not to be underestimated.
So I noticed my rear arches were full of mud when I bought the car, so today I whipped off the rear wheels and pressure washed and MPC’d the rear arches. ■■■ there was so much mud in there, mostly hidden where the bodywork meets the arch liner. The mud tucks itself away where the wing folds in. Anyway, it’s all out but I’m now concerned about the bubbling. Should I get this treated before it gets worse?
Yep, and as its inside the arch, masking (very well) and mini re-spray is a DIY job thingy IMHO
Yep crack on and get it sorted
Getting Japfest ready! I missed the OC group, but caught a space with the MX-5-europe.club stand. Looking forward to coming and seeing the OC stand!
You need to get the rear wheel arch liners off and get in there as soon as you can to see what is going on and then deal with it sooner rather than later.
