Fitted a battery cover to my ND which I bought from Rob Bate. Very happy and very impressed with it

Looks identical to mine……enjoy. :sunglasses:

Drove to Birmingham and didn’t notice any issues on DAB.

So, went to N Wales meet yesterday. Kev, you’re a star! :+1: Car been stood since new battery fitted, started up first time, no issues. Your battery ‘health’ check showed that all was good with no parasitic drain worth mentioning. Thanks for your help AND the battery condition LED display meter you gave me  that will be fitted before the next meet. Hope the seat belt pads are OK for you? :+1:

Pic of your meter Kev, hopefully mine will look as neat :+1:

Got stuck in and fitted the new battery meter.

Used a craft knife to cut and drilled a hole in 3 corners, guess what? the corner I didn’t drill ( I was cutting away from that one) ended up with a small crack in the cover! Totally my fault  anyway function over form and all that :joy:

Just ordered a new cover from mx5Parts, don’t want it looking tatty under the bonnet!

Well you didn’t waste any time, looks perfect.
Sorry to hear you cracked the cover, mine was already cracked so wasn’t too worried.
Seat belt pads are great, need to have a good run to feel the benefit though.
Good to see everyone at long last, and looking forward to the next meet and the possible run to the Ponderosa.
See you then.

And you Steve, nice to chat :+1: no doubt we’ll see each other again soon, going forward. Your car is epic! Never realised before that you had RECARO interior, BBS wheels, the aero kit looks fantastic. Lowering kit makes it look very purposeful. Tempted for an ND now! might be a while though!

Lol,all I can say is it’s the best one I’ve had Upto now, that’s the main reason I’ve still got it lol

The NB got washed, waxed, major service done with everything topped up/replaced, cambelt + pullies + other belts + water pump replaced, new tyres, interior cleaned, car MOT’d, put a new stereo in, reorganised the boot etc.

It better be happy.

Edit: Oh yeah, replaced the fog light bulbs cause they had gone. Also got rid of a few decals previous owner had on.

Fitted newly powder coated wheels and also did a oil and filter change whilst in the air …

Nicely finished wheels always set a car off well. Very nice :+1: tackling the bits you can’t see is also very worthwhile, you must be pleased

So, following on from the voltage indicator I was gifted, and the poorly installed finished product! I received the new battery cover yesterday from mx5Parts.

This time though, I brought out the dremel which made short work of the aperture needed in the battery cover. No cracks this time
Duly installed and working perfectly :+1:

I also gave the car a much needed wash n brush up after it’s outing to N Wales last Sunday! :white_check_mark:
