What have you Photographed lately?

Taken very few photographs lately, but did stop for this one on the way back from the chip shop this evening…
Small milestone, without all the lockdowns it would have been reading around 45k by now.

The road out to the West is Raginnis Hill.
Your framing just missed our old family home at top left of the pic.
The house at the very top of your pic is Lysistrata and belonged to our neighbours Selwyn and Primrose Holman who owned the shipyard in PZ.

Is that an NC?

Kidding. Looks awesome. I’d love something like that…

Hi Bob, at 740hp it’s great for going in straight lines but I much prefer my NC on fast cornering.

Just came back from a business trip to Madeira. had a day off on Friday and rented a scooter and did 100km around the island. The interior had fantastic scenery and got up to 4,500 feet! The first picture was from our hotel.

Any info on the plane? The 5 bladed prop would suggest a Spit. Mk.XIV, but the clipped wing-tips confuse me as they were usually on the earlier Mk.V.

Airfix make a MkXIV with V CP on the fuselage. The model has clipped wings.

Also found this:

It looks like J EJ on the side of the pic.

Thanks. Well it’s Griffon engined with a 5 blade prop. so it’s just gotta be a Mk.XIV, with clipped wing-tips!
Just found out that the JEJ marking was that of W/C “Johnnie” Johnson and the plane is thus marked as a tribute.

You are correct, the photo was taken at Duxford on Sunday. There are quite a lot of photos and info concerning her on the internet.

Spotted this on a dog walk this morning, a sunbeam penetrating through the trees to exactly highlight this spider in the web.

Nice capture.

Right place, right time :+1:

Yes, definitely a stroke of luck there.

Might ask you about that hotel and so on later this year as we intended ( Cov-id depending) on going there sometime 2022. Looks really nice.
Just need a feral screeching brat & TOWIE spray-tan free zone Bruv innit?

I am a bit of a Star Trek fanatic and have a small collection of die-cast models of various star ships. I took this picture of my latest acquisition, USS Voyager. The background is a blank velour cushion I hold my iPad on :face_with_monocle:.

My local photography group seem to have a thing about trying to get Kingfisher shots at the moment, so having been on a trip out myself today I came back and said "Kingfishers are predominantly blue birds with an orange-ish chest right? I think I might have captured one…
