Is your phone a Galaxy far far away?
I’m into astroimaging myself. Seems to be some interest on here with the lunar and solar images above.
This is my most recent image of the squid nebula, taken over a few night at the start of the month
Blimey. What did you do - borrow the Hubble Telescope for the night?
Cheers Keith. That would be nice but no just a humble 4” refractor.
Last time I was able to see a sky close to that naturally, thanks to UK atmospheres and light pollution, was deep in the Australian Outback. I’m afraid my little camera did not cut it.
Possibly the final decent sunset for a while round these parts… if you believe the weather forecast for the next fortnight☔
Wot!! Don’t tell me you’ve built your own yacht now!
Utter luxury, it even has the Covid barriers between the chairs…
The most memorable time I was in Biscay was in 1954 on the Pretoria Castle in a big storm. My introduction to “Beef Tea” and a week later FREE! ice cream on deck.
No stabilisers in those days…
Proof of “Crossing the Line” after having throat sliced by Sweeney Todd and tipped back into the pool covered in shaving foam… Not exactly lately however,
Hi Richard. In 1954 Dad was offered a job in Southern Rhodesia with his firm, but Mum (wisely) was against it. I was 10/11 yoa at the time and my sisters 8/9 yoa and 4 yoa respectively. So your picture was taken about that time.
Ha!
If only Roger! That was from our cabin onto the ‘small’ balcony we had
Not got round to building our own yet

There seems to be a few people on my local photography page trying to find and photograph kingfishers - I think I beat them to it (they are predominantly blue with an orang-ish front right?)
You can never have enough photos of a Spitfire. Taken by myself, not the best picture ever, but personal to me
