Vale of Belviour Angels - living on the edge of the Vale of Belviour there are a lot of these near me. I love them, as you can probably tell:)

All carved over a 70 year period circa 1680 - 1750 and belived to be the work of a father followed by his son (the latter Angels are much less refined).

Post inspired by NE Midland’s forthcoming Vale drive - the first (pale) Angel below is in Muston, not very far from The Gap.
