Catamaran sunset cruise.perfect evening.
Sarigerme Turkey.
I add to the praise for Krakow. I went there mid summer '18, only 6 weeks or so before I got my ND, and I’d say it was the best holiday I’ve ever been on. One of those things in life were you just book a place like putting a tail on a donkey, but it turns out to be great. The world cup was on, and I remember sitting with a beer outside a bar in the Krakow central square on a balmy summer evening, watching the world and I wondered if paradise was like this.
Went again the following summer ('19), and while still great, it was a bit hot, and kind f suffered a bit being the encore of the 2018 trip, you know, when you build something up so much in your head, reality has a tough time matching it. Haven’t been on holiday since (well, went to Prague later on that summer which I didn’t like that much) we then got the dog.
I also went to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. Was going to go to Zacopane, but didn’t as they said it was quite exposed and it was the summer. Great place Krakow. Also went to Poznane, which also is quirky.
Is that a spaceship?

What a glorious day in Whitby today, no snow.
On the way, my glamorous assistant took this, plenty of the white stuff…..
The Lovett Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth, NZ. The outer facade is mirror stainless steel in a wave shape.
Just looking at your photograph I know how Dr Bruce Banner feels when he turns into the Incredible Hulk. (minus the muscles)
On our way home yesterday we had a refreshment break at our usual stop in a town called Bulls. There are fibreglass cattle beasts dotted around the town in various poses. The ‘sculptures’ are life size and very realistic, as you can see from this anatomically correct bull.
That brings back lovely memories of being taken in the early sixties to see Father Christmas at (the now long gone) Gamages department store in Holborn London. It was in December, close to Christmas.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that all this stuff starts way too early these days? ![]()
Any sign of Easter eggs in the shops yet?
I’ve become quite a grump at this time of year. It drives me mad that it starts so early. I think we’ll be hanging easter eggs on the tree before long! ![]()
