Mick, sorry I missed your comment, teach me to look more carefully in future, and I can’t even blame an excess of Boltmaker. But if/when you do return to God’s own county, make a visit to Keighley and to the Boltmaker’s Arms in the town centre. A real old fashioned pub with all of the best Timothy Taylors ales on tap.
Not a beer but I was given a lovely bottle of whisky for my birthday recently and it’s not one I would normally buy, but very nice all the same.
Texels Brewery, Barrel aged in Cognac barrels.
Nice full taste, not too Boozy.
The name is Texels Geduld, whcih means Texels patience. The story is that you need patience to drink it or store it to bring out the flavours more.
Still have a bottle in my beer cave
Tonight Matthew we are enjoying a BrewDog Old World Imperial Stout at 9.5%. One from the archive and dated 2020 though still drinking very nicely.
Maybe not one for the traditional beer drinkers, Vocation breweries “Death by Cherries” fruit sour beer 4.5% :yum
Sadly, getting to grips with 0.0 beers!
Had a passable San Miguel tonight, not a patch on the Wherry I was drinking in Cromer just before the New Year, oh and various Lacons!
Woodforde’s Wherry, a lovely pint
Hi everyone!
Maybe this is a collectors item to be stored and drunk or auctioned in 2035! Tried one but not so good…

HPA is lovely, free delivery from the brewery if you cannot find a local Wye Valley pub.
To try and mix things up a bit I have temporarily moved away from straight Carling (and lots of it) and have moved to Carling with a small lemonade top. I think its good to mix things up occasionally.
Gave up on alcohol three year ago but a good pint of Guinness, a bottle of Duvel and a Snow Erdinger at Christmas were my go to.
