@ast Kingfisher?
I normally brew my own beer, not only because I am a bit tight, but at 40 pints for £15 and a total of 2.5 hrs work it’s also quit nice and I rarely find a better beer (IMHO), but a friend recently got me into Jaipur (IPA), which is actually quite nice…
Probably Kingfisher Premium.
However the locals thought I was mad ordering at “Beer County” a bottle of Tuborg; 100 Rupees for basically a liter of beer. I was last working there in January 2020, just as 'Rona was htting (I quit going to London in Feb).
If in India, don’t buy Kingfeemer; this is a sort of non-alcoholic ripoff of Kingfisher sold in Muslim areas, at the roadside.
This is my favourite of the summer. I did try a surprisingly good Neopolitan Ice Cream Pale Ale recently.
I’d normally have Peroni Gran Reserve if available when eating out Italian style but non on offer so thought I’d try this Poretti Roger. TBH, it was quite nice My youngest boy was 25 on Tuesday , hence the get together, he ordered the same but he’s more an IPA chap although gave the thumbs up to the Poretti too

Thanks Barrie. Hope you all had a splendid time!

When I was growing up in Cardiff, Brains RD Draught Dark at 18p per pint; or Brains SA (known as Skull Attack). Nowadays Fullers London Pride or Guinness.
I’m surprised there is only one mention of home brewing, which by coincidence I am thinking of taking up again. I happened across the Pinter unit and was thinking of getting one, but all of the equipment for a more conventional setup is about the same price and gives you much more flexibility.
Brewdog is a phenomenal success story! TBH, I stick with Hazy Jane, Elvis juice and the like some powerful brews though!
Barrie
I agree Brewdog has been an amazing growth story, and they do great work putting pretty interesting beers out, Hazy Jane is a great summer beer for me. I track the beers I try here Kevin R. on Untappd
only tried 1435 different ones so far so need to keep trying soo many great beers out there
Hi all, my fav beers here in North Yorks are…Yorkshire Guzzler and Timothy Taylor Botlmaker yum yum.
Current favourites are:
Salopian Oracle
Adnams Ghost Ship
Hobgoblin IPA
Weetwood Oregon Pale (local brewer)
Youngs ESB , Fullers London Pride, Old Peculier, Adnams Broadside and Abbot ale, along with a straight single Malt chaser.
Living near Burton upon Trent it is mostly Bass & Pedigree, I do like Spitfire too.
I don’t think a lot of people would agree with me but my favorite one is Carling.
Ice cold in a beer garden! Although I’m partial to a dark beer in winter. My favourite is Theakston’s Old Peculiar on draught at The Harkwick inn.
I’m currently enjoying the Thornbridge brewery mash up with Budvar lager. In cans and on draft at a pub in Sheffield I pass by when the beer wings carry me in.
…my homebrew…Geordie Winter Warmer at 40 pence a pint…
