What’s your instrument?

Lots of farm land around the area. I would guess the farmers had been ‘muck’ spreading where his helicopter landed. Those rotor blades can stir things up a bit, hence the state of the jacket.

He toured the whole site by the looks of things. The BBC pictures are in ‘The Guardroom’ part of the complex. The guitar room is in one of the other blocks.

Do you think he’s here to audition for the Fivers or whatever our Band name is?

Not in that gear - though the hat and glasses are OK!

Reckon you’re right about the muckspreading

  • I had a nasty experience in Oxfordshire - top down, 10 mph to follow a very safe distance behind the muck spreader, spreading at the edge of the field right next to the road. B*mmer!

Presume Mr Depp’s gone home - realizing he hadn’t got a chance to pass our audition!  :star_struck:

Another wider shot showing the row of Strats I was looking at!

That’s place is definitely on our go to list for the summer. We like to go to guitar shops. Time to dust down the tent and book a campsite. :+1:

Yep - a go to destination!

Looking at Mr D - I think he actually went bird watching on the Lincolnshire coast before going guitar window shopping. Pity he didn’t bother to change his jacket!

Or maybe it’s a designer jacket - in which case he’s been ripped off! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Guitars are in building 2.

As with a lot of antique centres rooms, shelves or cabinets are rented out to individual sellers. None of the rooms are staffed. Everything has a price label marked with the seller ID and you pay at the manned desk on the way out. Watch out for a marking on the bottom right of the price ticket which says T**. Whatever figure is in place of the ** is the trade discount. Just ask for the best price at the desk and you will get the discount.

Don’t go on a Sunday as they charge £1 to park and 50p admission. Hardly expensive but it’s also quite busy at the weekends. Coffee shop in building 1 is good. Drinks and cakes available all day and lunchtime meals. Not had a meal but always looks good. Again, don’t go Sunday lunch, it’s rammed!

HI All,
I think we’ve got to the stage where we need two threads here.

Still interested in what instruments we MX - 5 Os play, however the Fistful of Fivers(Virtual band) is brilliant, lots of laughs, but we’re getting bogged down in gigs, detail and all the Super Band paraphernalia etc  :star_struck: , which might not suit all players out there.

What do you guys think?

Going to take a bit of splitting!

Nah. Ian H the forum administrator can do wonders with this forum, it’s his job, a bit like you becoming our roadie and a couple of other jobs he will step up and split it. :joy::joy::joy:

From now on!!

Don’t let’s overthink this!! :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Keep on Rockin’

PS when’s the O2?!

Soon. We are waiting for roadie to load the three articulated trucks and I don’t know why he’s taking so long, we gave him a pump truck. :joy:

Three - Is that enough!

Is there one for the drummer and also one for the horns player? - we shouldn’t skimp! :truck: :articulated_lorry: :minibus: :articulated_lorry: :truck: :bus: :auto_rickshaw: :kick_scooter:
Got ourselves a convoy…

I hope he’s spelled our names correctly on the tops!

I thought the trucks were just for the musicians not the drummer.

Virtual? VIRTUAL? :rage:

Already trying to ‘cancel’ rock gods before the first gig. Sometimes I despair at what the world is becoming. :frowning_with_open_mouth:

Virtual trucks 1 & 2 loaded, 3rd one virtually finished…

OH Roadie! - re Virtual - bad choice of words there. :pensive: So I’ll say 3 Hail Marys and a paternoster.!
Maybe Fistful of Fivers (OUT OF THIS WORLD band) would’ve been better - hindsight!! :upside_down_face:
With all you have to do - and I can see the list getting longer, can’t understand why you haven’t been given that Road Crew yet!
We’ll get to that gig! Glad you’re on the loading. Now about those extra trucks… :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Found one to add to the set list. Would be so easy for me on the desk. Just need you guys to get your act together on your parts.

Interesting idea Roadie.

Bags I doing the percussion on the guitar body - easy cos I’m under 5 ft!!!

Bit of close contact there…

That’s quite amazing. One thing that confuses me is that it says that they are the Barcelona Guitar Trio, there’s four of them :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Think somewhere I saw ‘Barcelona guitar trio plus …’. The guy banging out the percussion is the extra one. It’s difficult to tell but it looks like the six string is being used as two three string instruments. I’m not sure but I think the seated guy holding the guitar is plucking one set of three strings but doing the fretwork on the other three. Certainly an amazing example of teamwork.
