Quite a few neighbours turned up with their own instruments

I don’t know any of the background to this petition. It was just suggested to me by the change.org website. Just thought the people on this thread would be the ones who appreciate the power of music and the way it can heal the mind.
Thanks Roadie - sounds good to me.
It would be a real shame to lose such an historic studio.
So I will sign up, too.
I wasn’t going to post until I noticed that Vintage Blonde Telecasters have shown up again and again, so… this is a Squier Telecaster Standard, The USP of this one is that the neck has a matt finish and rosewood fretboard, that being slightly unusual it’s common to buy for upgrading the electronics or swapping to another guitar body.
Very nice looking guitar, I do like the blonde Telecaster’s. Do yo play in a band or just for pleasure?
Super looking bit of kit. Thanks for sharing!
Seems everybody does!
For myself. It’s been hanging around to upgrade for ages but I watched a review where somebody said they just buy something that’s right in the first place, which is a point well made so it’s still as-is so far.
Here’s my new acquisition. It’s a Squire by Fender Vintage Modified Telecaster Bass. Fender did make a Telecaster bass but it was basically a reissue of the first precision bass with a single pickup and Telecaster neck but still looked like a precision bass. Squier made this guitar with a Telecaster body and neck, they only made them from 2012 to 2014, which is the age of this one. I’ve been looking out for one for a little while now as they are quite rare.
Looks like a proper serious bit of kit, reminds me of the last Strangles vid I saw on youtube earlier this afternoon :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seGA2CaD74Q
I’m a very long way from being able to play like JJB.
I’m sure anyone could pull off a passable performance… with a lifetimes practice
Still, with a guitar like that…
Just returned yesterday from two weeks in Lanzarote. First night there saw a duo performing in a Costa Teguise restaurant and bar. So good we managed to pull in two more of their shows while there.
Scotty Barnes on vocals, Dave Steels on guitar performing as ‘Guitar Legends’. Dave’s background is in heavy rock and has toured and performed all over the world. While chatting with him he dropped into the conversation that he had played bass in Japan for Clapton so mixed with fine company. The hat has replaced the long hair as he’s been on chemo for the past year. Taken a toll on him but his playing is still 100%.
They did a wide range of material but this is my all time favourite. Enjoy.
Love that number!!!
Th Gary Moore original is my ringtone!
Gary was a great musician and I saw him a couple of times, once in his heavy rock days and once as the blues guitarist. You need to get this book about him, it’s a great read and it shows what a fragile person he was and always striving for perfection. He even told Cozy Powell how he wanted him to play the drums.
