Where have you been in your MX-5 today?

Only one thing better than fish & chips. Eating them in your MX-5 with a great view. Heaven

We are currently experiencing a run of really fine weather. We are also facing the very real prospect of having no petrol within weeks so it seems a good idea to use the last of what we do have to enjoy the fine weather! We live on the coast and tend to take the sea for granted but it is always our ‘go to’ for picnics, ice creams, fish and chips and just to sit and listen to the waves.

The last few days we have been to some local beaches.

A trip to Flamborough Head for a walk along the cliff top. Hiding behind the motorhome my wife spotted an RF, anyone on here?:+1:

Couple of short local runs today for a comparison of my NC1 Sport and my ND 30AE. Both lowered (MeisterR and Eibach springs respectively) and both on Goodyear Eagle F1s. ND obviously quicker and has the nicer gearbox whilst the NC has (to me) the better steering feel - absolutely planted in bends whilst being a bit ‘looser’ in a straight line and a firmer ride. Love both of them, though I have a definite soft spot for the NC, but both keepers for the foreseeable future.

Nice Misty Mountain Hop today and saw more MX-5s than I’ve seen in two months.

Fan Y Big, Cribyn, Pen Y Fan and Corn Du in the background.

Went for a drive to The Drive for a coffee and a wander. I counted 25 Porsche’s there and muttered away to myself about them being great cars but common as muck. Not like my solitary MX- 5. Got home and told my step son about it for him to point out to me that there was Porsche OC meet there today!

Yesterday (cheating!) but celebrated the first properly good weekend of the year with a run up to Blenheim Palace. New brakes feel good, dropping the roof even better. Looking forward to the summer ahead!

Off down to Congleton this morning (and a horrid early start). Stopped to fortify myself with coffee and a bacon roll before doing some RoSPA advanced driver tutor development stuff for a couple of hours.

Off over t’other side of the Chilterns to the factory. Theoretically a day for top down but it was too stiff with the cold… like the calendar had been wound back. Always remembering that it’s more likely to snow at Easter in England than at Christmas.

Over 5000 on the “new” motor now.

Out for a run with the Grampian mob. Great day apart from the weather but had the roof down for some of the day.

A damp day down here for the Northwest run to N.Wales. Limited hood down opportunity!

An enjoyable run out nevertheless, over a decent technical route :clap:t3:
