A blast from Pompey to Midhurst across the South Downs and back along the 272. My son having his first drive of his new to him Niseko (my old car) and me in my new to me, Sport Black RF…got the cars a bit muddy, so a quick wash at home!

Woke up the NB from it’s winter slumbers, took it off sorn, gave it a check over, pumped the tyres up and went for a quick blast to Chelmsford for a coffee and some book purchases.

Nowhere… Went to Ikea for stuff, so took wife’s Citroen C3, bought stuff, it would have fitted in my ND’s boot…

Driven to Harlow to see family, avoiding the M11… Have only owned my lovely mk4 for 24 hours but I am already loving it - I’ve drunkenly joined this club for £39 whilst watching snooker & indycars, so, what are the main benefits of being a member?!

At the moment life is a bit down for many but as always MX-5 ownership is almost always up.
24 hours in your cheeks are probably aching from smiling. Sorry but there is no cure.

Yup. Taking the cat to the vets this morning was slightly surreal, but otherwise my first 24 hours of ownership have been wonderful!

Drove to work for the first time today in the MX5 - I’m a school teacher…
My lovely year 11s said the MX5 is nicer than my previous Audi TT but “it looks like a toy car”!
