Sounds like a great route tomorrow…take the south deeside road rather than the North Deeside (A93) and it can get you all the way to Crathie without crossing the river.
(great wee cafe at Finzean Farm Shop)
Aberdeen to Balmoral through Cairngorms to Inverness the scenery was beautiful and roads great even though a little wet at times , the pics really don’t show the Beauty , round trip to John O’Groats tomorrow
Skye is dead as a doornail.
Hope you get lucky & find a coffee tbh.
At least…it was 2 weeks back.
I’d pack some vittles.
Not me, but my son was there with 2 mates CLEAN “wild camping”…but being ex Forces they took everything needed…and left no traces.
We visited Dunrobin castle last time we were in Scotland. On our exit I was excited to see a gathering of classic Jags in the car park, obviously a club run out. That delayed us leaving for a while whilst I had a good look over them.
It’s got a pretty dark history that place.
Duke of Sutherland was not Mr Popular in his day. Clearing crofters for sheep etc & siding with Cumberland.
Great place to visit though…that was then…this is now.
All part of it’s history.
