Where have you been in your MX-5 today?

Driving around roundabouts to see if I could tell the difference after fitting the front strut brace from il motorsport.

Yes. Definitely.

Under body braces and rear strut brace are a few weeks away yet.

September will see bilsteins and eibach lowering springs installed and that’s really gonna be fun.

Went for a picnic.
Had drive around Staffordshire’s A and B roads too. :+1:

Tyndrum is actually Stirling District Council…
Went for a run to Wemyss Bay…

Took a lovely birthday cruise to Berkeley Square London and saw some lovely cars. Nothing matched up to the 5 even if they did gift wrap the Bentley for me!

And this statue reminded me of something i heard for mx5’s being created back in the day.
'Horse and rider ', feel at one! ‘Jinba Ittai’. Definitely. But don’t drive naked, gets embarrassing like this guy!

That statue took me back to when I was nine and ten and supposedly learning to ride.

Sometimes before an early morning lesson we had to fetch the horses in from the paddock to be rubbed down and saddled, and the easiest way we teenies could imagine was to trudge out there, climb up on the back of the horse, and steer it in with feet and hands in appropriate places, no reins or saddle.

However, the spine of a horse is extremely uncomfortable to a skinny small boy or girl sitting on it bareback. I soon lost interest, but it took several more years before I understood why the girls were so keen.

Nobody told us the easy way to fetch a horse from the paddock - show it an apple and it will come running!

When Led Zeppelin “Going to California” is the first song on a random playlist, you know it’s going to be a good day  … this was my early morning drive today before the weather changed. Heading out towards the Fosse Way in Warwickshire.

To Ambleside. Some competitive bmw driver thought he would challenge us to a race, but soon realised his box on wheels was no match for Nugget (who is so shiny today he is getting plenty of admiring glances).

Hope you enjoy Aberdeen, I know it well. It used to be our annual holiday as kids to visit my late fathers family who lived in the old fishing village, “Footdee” at the harbour entrance. Great, happy memories.
