Very impressive!
yes indeed! Looks splendid in its intended setting!

Is it not a bit too good to be outside though?
It’s awful bonnie.
Maybe, but it should be OK. And it was not all that expensive…
The HD security cameras will identify any miscreants breaking through or climbing over the locked side gate into the back garden. And the pyracantha will discourage anyone from climbing in over the fence.
Then while the outer cup/base is bolted down to about 100kg of pillar, I can lift the inner sphere out of the slot and bring it inside.
If we go away for a few days I can also unscrew the base from the pillar and bring it inside.
Stripping the brakes on the NC the other day, job half done and my trusted roofing man turn ups out the blue. Now I spoke to him about rebedding my ridge tiles and asked advice about painting my flat roof about 3 months ago.
He was in the next road and he walked round to hand me a tin of paint FOC, I was suppose to get the paint and do the job myself. He said go and get a couple of brushes and I’ll give you a hand when I’ve finished up round the corner.
I’ve now got a coat of aluminium solar reflective bitumen on the roof. Would you believe the roof is 30 years old this year and never been refelted.
Another job ticked off.
He came back the next day as I gave him the ridge tile job to do, well I was going to have it done next month anyway.
A few months ago I ordered a shed, it’s more or less the final finishing piece for the new garden layout.
At 6.45am a knock on the door, I’ve got your shed where do you want it? I knew he was coming after 7am. He went straight to it erected it, all done by 7.45am.
Bet my neighbours were pleased at that early hour.
That looks splendid Mick! Wishing i had a shed, zero capacity for anything else though. Spent my day packing the hot tub away for the onset of winter weather. Its been a lovely couple of months with it and will re-establish it next April time I reckon I was considering ‘winterising’ it for continued use but SWMBO said no, so that was that!

Timber buying time tomorrow, Mrs A is going to be commanding a spot on the bench which will be built, for crafty stuff. Mainly wood crafts, she’s been itching to get started on that for around the last 12 months, she’s even got her own Dremel saw table and associated tools at the ready.
We have to keep them happy Mick, that in turn keeps us happy!
Barrie
Happy wife happy life.
Happy wife indeed but not too happy now I’m afraid.
Progress on project shed has come to a grinding halt, well much slow progress.
Last week we went up here below…
Curbar Edge done it many times and thoroughly enjoyed it except for the final walk back up to retrieve the car. We both were feeling the pain (no pain no gain I said at the time) my knees have gone, need a rest, more so on one side than the other.
So far I’ve managed this with the bench and shelving, it’s moved on a little more but you get the idea.
Managed a coat of preservative on the shed yesterday and some planting in the garden, the knees have gone again.
Coupled with the unhappy missus, she had booked in for minor surgery on Monday, well it turned more than minor surgery. It was facial surgery, she reckons she can go trick or treating and give em a real fright. No pics available of that.
So she’s down in the dumps this week and I’m playing nurse maid, I want one myself but she’s sort of out of action for now.
Sorry to hear this Mick. Hope you both get well soon!
Yet more decorating! Yes, I’m at it again too, Mrs B wanted a change in the kitchen so the brick effect feature wall had to go, replaced by wood effect! I feel we’re going backwards!
Tried to find a pic of the old feature wall.

Go to it Barrie…
did all our decoration around 18 months ago, a few touch ups here there to do though.
I’ve got a small tiled floor to do at my son’s house, downstairs toilet room then fit a new toilet. And at ours reseal the bath (new silicone) apart from that put another coat of bitumen on the flat roof.
All kneeling jobs if course which are out. I told my son to tile the floor himself I’ll disconnect the toilet then I’ve got a man who’ll go and install the new toilet.
Waiting on my son to do the floor, he’s too busy earning a crust so not much time.
What’s worse I’ve neglected the MX-5, it needs a wash, polish and maybe putting to bed for winter. That might happen from next month the way things are going but I’d like to try using it more this winter.
Are you in tier 3 yet there Barrie, so far we are ok but reports say it’s getting worse here.?
Hi Mick, no not in Tier 3 yet, but who knows what might happen! You’ve got plenty on by the sound of it! We collect our new dog on Friday ( not instead of Barney, but as well as) he’s a rehoming Cavachon from a charity that Mrs B subscribes to. Thing is, he’s in Anglesey, N Wales. New restrictions coming into place from 6.00pm Friday! We’re meeting in Chester on Friday morning and bringing the new dog back home to Leeds. Both ourselves and the current owners are liaising with and have letters from the charity, allowing the travel. Bit worrying though, social distancing, masks etc, and what do we do, current owners tie the new dog to a tree, retreat and we untie the poor thing and take it back to our car? There’s documentation to exchange too. Not sure how it will go but its not the poor dogs fault. Will just have to see how it pans out
Barrie
Hope all goes well for you, sure it will👍
New dog (Bear) settling in!

And a good feed or two! Vets next for full health check, balance of vaccines and neutering too! We’re letting him settle in a bit first though to get him happy in his new home!

Barrie
Sure Barney will soon put Bear right on how to train you.
That’s wonderful that you’ve got another rescue dog Barrie we have a rescue Jack Russell , I think it’s such a good thing to do giving a dog a good caring home .
