Yet More Decorating

Glad to hear it, Mark Bolan took the biscuit, " she’s faster than most and she lives on the coast " or “she ain’t no Witch and I love the way she twitch”,  mind you they were probably all out of their boxes at the time :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Genius ( :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) lyrics and a voice like a pubescent sheep (:sheep:), a winning combination!

Very old joke and very bad taste so happy if admin want to delete.

He was best known for ‘Wrap a yellow mini round the old oak tree’.

And the original version was a load of old Pony as well, although my Mum liked it, (Tony Orlando and Dawn as far as I remember )

I quite fancied Dawn. Ooops, sorry, sorry, a girl in the office, not the group!

I married Dawn 35 years ago!

Talking of trees well sort of, I recycled an old bird box, the birds never really went near it.
It’s now a bug hotel hanging on the trachycarpus fortunei, try inserting that in a song. :grinning:

I’m about all out of DIY jobs, painted the wooden mask thingy, my wife loves it but I reckon that was keeping the birds away

Painted the flower, now salad leaf growing boxes, done a little concreting. I’m all out of materials until I find it necessary to visit Sainsbury’s next week, B&Q opposite for some fence paint if they have any left🙄

I may find it necessary to strip the NC’s brakes to keep busy, although I need brake cleaner. I have loads of cleaning stuff, polish, wax but I’ve done all that.:+1:
Decisions

Fed up with looking at the meter box with no door, it was butchered by the builders to get the garage door to pass it when closed. Nearly 30 years later it has a door, well a cover to hide it.
Also I’ve treated the NC to a little something to keep her happy whilst in there, no more extension leads.

Just finished this.

A friend has been doing his and this was spare? Not sure who measured it but not complaining
Started with a vengeance yesterday afternoon. Barrowed all the ballast and sand round to back of house, working on my own. Laid and levelled everything, compacted in thin layers.

Mrs B helped manoeuvre the roll into position and trimmed it and spread/swept the sand in this morning.
Well pleased :+1:

I wondered what you had been up to Barrie - no Retro Hi Fi posts for ages !

Hi Chris! I know, not really been anywhere near the hifi for a couple of weeks now! Mrs B working from home means I just leave her to get on with her job and I just keep out of the way!

Cutting the grass is one of the last options available for getting out of the house alone for a short while. What excuse are you going to use now?

I’ll have to tell Mrs B that it still needs watering to keep it looking good!:rofl: not sure she’ll fall for it though!:grin:

Project garden landscaping has taken a back seat this week. My sciatica nerve is doing it’s best to slow progress, 3 days of nothing.
Anyways the job so far is to remove all of the lawn and reuse the cobble stones to edge an enlarged border for planting. The remainder will be gravelled with a seating area.
A garden shed has been ordered, it’s been a few years since we had one but feel the need for another, free up the garage. I’ve got eight weeks to get the base ready for that, already partially cleared a space for that.
Having a very small pond too with some sort of fountain, nothing too elaborate, trying encourage more wild life to the garden.
I think it’s material ordering time today, limited to what I can do today, still I’ve got the rest of the summer to get it done👍
The revamped wheelbarrow is earning it’s keep now.

Managed an hour today Barrie then her indoors took the trowel off me and ordered me in for coffee, locked and barred the doors and won’t let me out again.

TBH I’m still not 100%, we have a tip run booked tomorrow, still going as they need to be booked for a certain day or you can’t get in. Hopefully they’ll let us both in to dump the garden waste, they say only one in per car.
I’ve only put a few plants in today to make it look a little better, they were a bargain, selling them off at our local pound shop, only went in for a bag of screws.
