Nextbase 522GW Dash Cam | Halfords UK?
Looking to DIY this. What fuse port is advised and is the instalment idiot proof? P.s I am an idiot.
Anything to consider or any gremlins to be mindful of?

You can hardwire the dash cam into the cars small fuse board (bottom of the A pillar passenger side) fuse position 2 second from the top see diagram below.
I recommend buying the Nextbase hard wire kit👍
You just unplug the fuse no 2 and place the piggy back fuse/lead in it’s place and original fuse, follow the instructions provided in the kit. You can also search in here hardwire dash cam NC or something like that for an how to.
Tuck your cables behind the A pillar trims and down the door opening trim👍
Ho! and look under the fused box lid in the engine compartment, there’s a small tool in the lid for removing fuses easily.

Brilliant mate. Sounds moron proof so I should be ok! Ill save the £35 fitting and also buy the hardware online.
Have you also attached the rear camera? As its a rag top i will need the rear view attachment. Have you got this also and is it worth it?
It is simple enough once you are prepared with the relevant info. I’ve done my NC (Nextbase 512) and also my Mazda3 (Nextbase 522 front and rear) The data links to online manuals for the NC are a bit volatile, I’ve replaced them in my how-to a couple of times now, and looking again just now once more see 404 errors, grrr.

Thank you for the reply. Seems simple enough. I cant trust Halfords with changing light bulbs so i am not prepared to let them hard wire anything!!!
