Before whizzing across to Germany on Thursday I rediscovered Spotify but now on my i-phone and selected a few favourite tracks and then let the algorythm do the rest. One find that was immediately added to my liked list was a cover version of the former artiste known as Prince When Doves Cry by YNOT, Cosmo Klein. Simpleton that I am I could listen to this all day and am right now :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDgfW82YQXs

While waiting for Kim Wilde’s new album Closer, I am taking a trip down memory lane with its predecessor, and remembering her supporting MJ on his Bad tour in… 1988.

Joanne Shaw Taylor Diamonds in the dirt CD

Outstanding guitarist!

I’ve been listening to a lot of Green Lung lately. They bill themselves as “If Brian May joined Sabbath,” and all the songs are drawing on folk horror and Mystic Albion stuff.

Animals - Pink Floyd

David Sylvian - Secrets of the Beehive (very underrated album from the 80’s)

Today’s drive to work was to the sound of The Verve’s Urban Hymns.

I saw a bit of Carole King on the TV last week, which awoke old memories of 1960s, 70s.

So thanks to Az now I’m working my way through the 2 CDs in The Essential Carole King

Excellent stuff.
