ND2 differences between models

Hi all…first post, although I’ve had an NA and a NC Sport black in the past I am now looking at an ND2 and was after some advice as I am struggling to find good info on the differences between the various spec’s…apologies if it’s out there and my searching skills have just failed me!

I am probably in the market for a 2.0, 2019 onwards. I’ve been looking at Sport Tech, GT Sport Tech, Sport Nav+ and GT Sport Nav+.

Am I right in saying all these come with LSD and the bilstein dampers?

And the difference between the GT and non-GT is essentially special coloured leather seats, adaptive lights and the reversing camera?

I am tempted by a Sport Nav+, I much prefer the black interior to the sand on the GT version…but just wondering if I am missing something obvious that means I should go for a GT car.

Thanks in advance for any help!

True, all 2.0l manual cars have these plus the all important strut brace.

It will take a few seconds to load but if you have a look here…

…it shows all the specification details of the various 2019 models.

Brilliant…thank you…just what I was after!

Does anyone know how the Sport Tech and GT Sport tech fit in? They are not mentioned in that brochure so I assume they are basically a newer version of the Sport nav+ and GT Sport Nav+?

Scroll down for something close to a week and all the MX5 brochures will come into view - good hunting!

I have detailed this previously and also linked the above:

In short you were spot on; Sport Nav (from launch) > Sport Nav+ (~2019) > Sport Tech (~2021)

Yes, if you’re looking at a '19 plate onwards, the ND2, any 2L will have the bilsteins, and as another poster mentioned, the strut brace.

They did a 2L ND1 (which I’ve got) called an SE-L Nav which don’t have the Bilsteins and the ride is really nice, kind of like the 1.5’s ride (I’d test drove both). That got the LSD too, but not the strut, although strangely, when it was first released, for a couple of years ‘my spec’ did include the strut, but for some reason, they omitted it, before they eventually deleted the spec itself once the ND2 came around.

Thanks all…really helpful info

A 2018 Z-Sport (ND1) will get you the LSD and Bilstein’s also. And the black BBS wheels. A great package if you like colour choices. Low mileage examples run £14 - £15K which might offer a lower price point compared to the ND2 models.

So I’ve pulled the trigger on a ND2 GT Sport tech, 22 plate in Polymetal grey…hopefully collecting next week…just need some sun now!
