What have you done to your MX-5 today? (Part 2)

I have some stickers too but prefer not to fit them. To see the bbr logo on mine you need to open the bonnet

I agree, Not really sure of the look of the BBR supplied badges on my BBR Super 220. I might also put the BBR badge under the bonnet. I have obtained some self-adhesive chrome letters from Amazon to spell ā€˜BBR 220’. I may put these on the boot lid when I am sure that I am going to get a clear half hour of warmish dry weather, which doesn’t look to be any time soon!

with the ā€œunder the bonnetā€ I meant its on the exhaust manifold :sunglasses:

Ah! Well yes. I should have realised that :+1:

Why on earth are they there ? Is it an access hole ? It seems crazy to cut out two holes in a bulkhead and then plug the holes with a seal that regularly fails !

It’s a capture nut to screw down the plastic cover but I did wonder why they haven’t got a better waterproof solution.

Ah ha, Yes you have pointed out what the tab is for. I hadn’t thought of it holding down a cover ! Thanks for pointing this out. And Yes I agree. It does seem to be a bit of a pity of its design, i pigs ear even…issue. Best regards from Ray in Epping Essex

Hi Ray. On the ND model the thread inserts for the windscreen trim are mounted off a bracket rather than penetrating the bulkhead. No problems with leaking seals anymore!

Hi , what thickness are they ?

20mm, wasn’t sure if I should go less in front but figured I’d give it a go and see how it looks/drives

HI, I’m a new member to the MX5 Club and am loving my 2010 Mk3. I have only had it for a few months but I’m really attracted to getting a BBR 200 kit. How was your experience of getting the kit fitted and has it enhanced your enjoyment of the car? Look forward to your comments.

Gave it a major clean, including feeding the cow skin. Adjusted the wipers.
Carried out pre-MOT checks.
Cuddled it.
Well, those curves get me every time…
Now off for a drive to my evening meal, wherever it might be.

Monthly check - Petrol, oil, water, battery, tyres. (My Dad’s mantra)

The oil is the same colour and at the same level as when I bought it nine months and 2000 miles ago. So all’s good :slightly_smiling_face: (It’s a 2005 NB)

Looking forward to getting the hardtop off and reliving my 20s doing some more top down backroad motoring around deepest Dorset.
