Nice…

Share your pain. We recently moved house and it took ages to tidy and sort out the rubbish left in the tiny garage. Just got my first MX5 and it just fits in. I thought I had got it sorted but the tiled roof deposits brick dust all over the paintwork, so that’s why my new Mk3 is under covers…I’m not really that obsessive…yet.

Wow, tight fit!! Nice white walls though!

I thought my garage was small…
At least MK3 has a mirror on the wall to get itself ready before the drive!!

Mot passed no advisories. Glad I spotted those rusty frame rails last year so had plenty of time to get them sorted beforehand.

Sorry to hear of the difficult circumstances but great to hear that you’re getting back into tinkering! Go well.

Me too lol.

The two extra wires to terminals ? Volt meter ?

Thank you. I broke two fingers yesterday releasing some bolts. Time to take a break.
It is nice to get back into self maintenance after many years but I think I was trying to cram too much in over a short space of time

They are part of the DRL’s wired into the indicators. They also serve as I think the term is ā€œcoming home lightsā€ DRL’s stay illuminated for a period after the car has been switched off hence I reckon the live feed from the battery.
Already installed on the car when I got it :+1:

I fitted 20mm hub centric spacers all round. It did mean taking an angle grinder to the studs but went on well.

Today ( Sat 5th Mar ) helped my son fit his MX5 parts Stainless exhaust Backbox to his newly aquired MK2.5, the backbox was delivered to my place within 2 days as I have the ramps, lovely item, and came with crush ring and bolts, and apart from a struggle with the old rusted bolts it went on a treat, looks and sounds so much better than the standard exhaust, although a cold air flow filter was already fitted to his car when he bought it, so he’s now grinning from ear to ear, just need to get him to join the owners club as well!

Looks ā€˜The Dogs’.
How much were your spacers?

On another point, I zoomed in on your photo and your disc looks like it needs throwing out and a new pair onšŸ‘
Are you sure the pads aren’t down to the metal as they look bad to me.
