That look like new ,do you mind sayiny how much ?
£180.
Included deep clean and repair the drivers seat and deep clean the passenger seat. Lovely local guy to me in Lymington and is a seriously talented young man.
Just fitted a stubby from Moss.
My first and so far only planned mod.
Although am considering getting a perspex windblocker.
Great looking job and a brilliant trade name.
Finally replaced the scuttle grommets - took about 40 mins to replace the pair,
Next is to investigate why the fan varies speed despite being set to a fixed speed…I suspect part of has got damp whilst the grommets where leaking…
Ordered some bits.
I use the boot every day (she’s my daily driver and my lunchbox goes in there), so I’ve ordered boot poppers.
Also the windows staying halfway down every time the top is raised and lowered is annoying so also ordered the window controller at the same time.
You’ll be pleased with both, I’ve fitted both of these to my ND.
When closing the boot, just press firmly on the top near the catch to close otherwise it’s quite a “slam” to close. You get the knack very quickly.
Thanks Jeff. Did you fit the controller yourself? It doesn’t look too difficult in the vids I’ve watched.
Yes, fitted it myself. Getting the door card off is relatively easy, plastic trim tools help so grab some off ebay or similar.
I had an early version where RHD cars were discovered to have different wiring so fitting was done a couple of times before I eventually soldered the wires on the extra wires that open the windows remotely on a double-click of the remote or close open windows automatically when locking.
Later versions should have the bugs sorted out.
The boot poppers took less time to install than typing this reply!
It’s quite an easy job to do, I just hope you have better luck with it than I and another member had with the unit. When I first fitted it it worked fine and it’s such a good idea it makes you wonder why Mazda didn’t build it into the car. Once the cold weather came I had so many problems with how the windows acted, some were really odd, so I spoke to them and they said to reset everything and then it would work for a few weeks then the antics would start again, finally I removed it and it sits on a shelf in my garage.
Here is what they look like fitted
Yes Ali Express.

Looking good. Always worth the time and effort👍🏻
And very smart it looks too
If you have a cover, now may be a good time!
I washed mine just before the last dust storm, if I’d done nothing at all it would have looked the same.
Well the window controller arrived yesterday. Quite speedy as I only placed my order on Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately the boot popper is on back order with an arrival date of TBC. Which is a little disappointing as they don’t show as out of stock on the website but anyway…
The hardest thing about the fitting was getting 3 of the clips out of the door which hadn’t stayed on the door card.
So testing and ‘teaching’ the unit. Off the bat the windows closed when the hood closed. Great.
But lowered when the hood lowered whereas I wanted them to go back up. I got the unit to learn what I wanted but after a couple of ups and downs the passenger window went down instead of up and stayed down. Not great!
Did a quick google and found a suggestion of disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes, which brings me to another issue I had. The 10mm socket fell off the ratchet and came to rest way out of reach at the bottom of a little gap between the battery and airbox.
Luckily I remembered a telescopic magnetic thingy I’ve had rusting in a toolbox. Amazingly I found it. I bet I’ve had it over 30 years and never needed it until today!
Retrieved the socket, disconnected the battery, reconnected it after a few minutes and all seems to be working as intended now. Hopefully it stays that way.
