Drilled one of my door bushes holes out a bit and got it so it’s perfect after a few months of the door not quite closing easily.
Added a 22mm brass pipe capping disc I had in my tool box for years to the sound tube to block it and realised how quiet the car can be inside as well. Grommet is on its way to remove the sound tube a seal the fire wall too.

Filled up the washer reservoir as it ran out with no warning. Shock! Had assumed there’d be a light on the dash as the Nanny beeps at me if I’m wandering over white lines or if there’s a car 100m behind me and I engage reverse…

Yes, the adjustment slots need to be freed up up in order to be able to adjust the bushes properly.
I have found it necessary to have the windows and or roof down to be able to adjust properly, as the air pressure as you close the door masks the feel of the bushing fit otherwise.

Somewhere above you may have read that I accidentally sold my RF due to madness and Abarth envy.
Well yesterday I found a car. A one owner 2019 RF in Soul Red. The only problem being that it was in Scotland.

The kind salesman said to save me the trouble of making two trips north I could buy it unseen and come up to collect it in a few days. Well that wasn’t going to happen so I set off for Kilwinning in Ayrshire. Five hours and nearly 300 miles later I got to see the car.

It was absolutely unblemished and only 1,700 miles on the clock. One lady owner who only used it to drive to church on Sundays… Actually the salesman explained to me that it was a local car purchased by a chap for his wife as a present because she liked the look of it! Sounds like that all she liked because she didn’t like driving it. The car must have sat for most of the last two years doing nothing apart from a service at 1,000 miles when it was a year old. When I got there the battery was dead from neglect but the rest of the car was as new.
I’m collecting it on Friday. With a new battery fitted and an Italian tune up on the drive home it should be brilliant! However, I am going to book it into Roddeson’s for a full service and thorough check over asap.
Meanwhile I can’t wait to get my hand on it!

Yes, I remember that! Sounded like a real tale of woe, but well done in finding what sounds to be a lovely replacement! Hope all goes well on Friday’s collection day…!

It certainly keeps the “visually improved” look on the go anyway

Looks good. Please post a picture of the rear end when they are back in place.

Thanks, I will do.

The red ones are my spare set, the ones on the car will probably get a smoked tint and then I’ll see which version I prefer.
