Better oils are readily available, Millers CRX oils being one.
Thanks. Much appreciated.
I think they are quite a rare fish so the likelihood of finding an interior from one is perhaps a bit unlikely sadly.
I retrofitted cruise to my NC2 2.0 SE this evening. Will come in handy on any necessary motorway runs.
Straightforward in the end. Disconnected battery, removed wheel and airbag. Swapped in cruise buttons and then refitted everything. Changed my brake pedal switch to a 4-pin version.
All tested and working on a test drive
Defo a bit of me this!!! might be next
Washed the Recaro after a couple of days travels. After a recent paint job of the front of the car I’ve only just noticed they’ve completely refurbished the number plate plinth too. It looks new now, before it had many dings and marks on it. That wasn’t on the to do list, so a big thank you to Car Cosmetics Derby.
Every cloud…
It’s always nice to find a business that goes the extra mile….
Unsure - so I’ve done to see if I like it. Gonna keep walking out to look at it and see what I think. Wasn’t that bad to do
Bitof a disappointment today. I took it in to have exhaust checked as it was sounding loud and he found and welded up a small gap between back and middle. Now car sounds boring and quiet again. I was quite enjoying the noise. Bargain at £36
Over the past 3 weeks I had two incidents of both front windscreen upright pilers being damaged Drivers side had a Ladder hit, passenger side was scratched by a Lady with a ring on …
If I had the four thought of getting them both 3m protective film covererd like I had the top of the windscreen strip which was also hit by the ladders with not a scratch ,
what to do to fix the problem well to buy the covers from Mazda
piler mouldings cost Left or right = £ 160.22 each + Vat
top moulding cost £172.67 + vat
in Machine grey total well over £600.00
I was told and have seen the U Tube video on removal and replacement mazda will tell you that the top cover has to be removed first and its impossible to get them off with out doing any damage …
well I can tell you IF you have the skill and Patience then you Can remove the sides without top cover removal
So I got a Rattle Can match for the Machine Grey X two £9.40 = £18.80
4 x White securing Lugs bag of ten £ 4.20
2 X blue securing lugs bag of five £2.90
6 X double sided 3m sticky pads £3.42 per sheet cuts into 8
3M clear paint protection clear film £ 8.00 per side = £16.00
took me a day to paint then left 3 days then put on the 3m clear film
took 15 minutes per side to fit
took me 40/50 mins per side to get them off with no damage
total cost £45.32 A far cry from Mazda’s £320.44 + vat around £384.52
a massive saving of £339.20 approx
Pleased with the results & not interior trim had to be removed more Pictures on tonys modding Page
thanks for taking the time to look
Brilliant job there.
Would be good to know source and part numbers for suitable clips and 3M pads.
Thanks.

Had the steering wheel off again today that I just got from Royals… thought it was lined up straight but after a quick drive it was clearly off to the right… one spline out I thought… so got it off and back on one spline to the left, which looked a lot better immediately…
But, whilst on a quick drive noticed it’s now slightly to the left when going straight…
I’ve emailed them to see what they can suggest, but have since read on the forum there can be very slight differences to the splines on the steering wheel meaning it could be out of alignment when put on another car… didn’t know this…
Apparently having a wheel alignment done can straighten it out…??
I can live with it for now but I just know it’s going to bug the hell out of me….
Just slacken off both track rods and rotate each one the same amount in the opposite direction. You will have to work out which way will straighten it up. Mark your start point so you can return to the original position if you get flummoxed.
If you can get them undone. I tried doing it as mine was slightly off, couldn’t budge them, so I thought garage job.
I since sold that car, problem solved:grin:
It’s off for a full service at Roddison’s in a few weeks so will ask if he can sort the alignment while he’s got it…
Fantastic
Two pairs of glasses needed I see
