How much tinkering / modifications to housing or light cluster was involved ?

Welcome along to the club btw :+1:

Id like to say it took me days to modify, however they literally fitted straight in with no gaps, they just go nicely with the black effect im going for.

Ah, Ive read posts…

…they don’t fit , mods needed to light housing , wiring confusion regarding reverse and fog light …

Hence my lack of purchase , look very cool all the same :+1:

Other people use rude words, I express surprise, suddenly I’m accused of bringing the tone down.

Can’t win can I?

P.S.

I’ve done a thing…

Now that is bright :sun_with_face:

Standard boot light is like a brass button up a… think you get my drift.

Light isn’t bright and position isn’t great, anything in the boot creates shadows.

Replaced with an LED strip under the top lip at the back of the boot opening.

This is the prototype on my car. Should have kits available in a week or so.

Does it work alongside the LED rear light strip?

The boot light is on a completely different circuit!!

Looks like my wonderful previous customer are now doing customer service duties as well as sales promotion.

The connector for the LED boot light replaces the bulb in the boot light.

Rain left leopard spot dust pattern so thorough wash and ceramic coating done!

Anybody tried this stuff yet?

It’s coming up on ads all over Facebook.

Spray it on, wipe it off, then water just beads and rolls off.

Plenty of named, proven similar products on the market already. So I’d go for one of those first, before something like that.

Have a look at Gyeon Can Coat as a really good option, if you’re tempted :+1:t3:

Depends on the budget and what longevity you want ultimately.

Waved my MX5 away, well a week ago, I am still in mourning. :slightly_frowning_face:

Began to clear the shed of all my spare parts and accesories I have accumulated and get them sold on. I will probably never have another one now so goodbye to fun and frivolities on a summer day forever.

Sorry for your loss.

Thanks, my new life as a camper van life person will be happening soon, well as long as we get a confirmed build this Wednesday that is.

I am sitting here looking at photos of my recently departed SportsTech and feel glum at that loss but on the otherhand excited about what is coming down the road.

Yes they’ve got your back.
Speaking as a previous customer, i feel a total wally for not realising that in the first place, at least it got a few laughs.
Put me down for a kit as soon as they are ready. :+1:
